Glad to hear you're making progress Simon, and congratulations on winning the championship despite everything! Your outlook on life and how you've faced these difficult times is a real inspiration. I hope you're not too desperately bored in hospital, although to take the positive from that it means you're doing well!

Hy guys , tough day today , as part of the op they get a racehorse to kick you in the nuts 😱😱😱 bits of me swelled up overnight that you really do not want to swell up !!! Not much to do but keep elevated and cold compress 😩😩
Cannula in as well which is not nice 😔 On the upside the new kidney is working but I'm still struggling with the fact that a 50 year old man died to keep me alive 😓😓😓 thoughts are with his family .

Pressed the like button on your last post. Not because I like the fact you've got swollen plums but just to show acknowledgement that we are checking in regularly on you and reading your posts. Grin and bear it and keep positive. The man was a registered organ donor of his own accord (as am I) and he would be chuffed as nuts to know what it has meant for you.

Reminds me, and not in a pleasant way, of my vasectomy.
The only relief I could get was lying in the bath, where they bobbed around being a hazard to shipping!

Sad to read about your swelling, hope you will feel better soon.
I am sure your organ donor wouldn't want you to feel bad. He registered as a donor to help people even after his passing. Now his family will know that his death will keep others alive. There is some comfort in that I guess.

No problem, glad that we have been able to help, even if only in a very small way. However, it makes a change to talk a load of b*ll*cks and be thanked :-)

This has brought a tear to my eyes as it not until you hear of someone getting an organ donation that you actually think about what has to happen before an organ becomes available.
As had already been said, the gentleman concerned wanted to help others after his death and that has to one of the best things anyone can do for others.
Keep improving and collect your trophy.

I have raced a Volvo 66 about 20 years ago, so experience is not an issue Take care mate! I should be in Europe from early June till end of August next year. I am will be catching up with some friends and will do some side seeing. Would be awesome to see that green machine in action. Will see how things go.

I have raced a Volvo 66 about 20 years ago, Wow, my parents had one of those! It replaced a mk3 Cortina after they were so impressed with the DAF 44 they had previously. Turned out not to be as well made as the DAF though. Theirs was gold with black vinyl interior and chrome belt buckles. Was torture in the summer when wearing shorts...
