So tonite was dyno night , the oil was changed over the weekend and everything was checked ready for tonite , thankfully everything went to plan and the final high boost figure is 604 bhp with torque capped at 420 ftlb . Only 1.2 bar boost was used to protect the new engine and with very warm air temps a conservative map was on the cards !!! Running at a full 1.6 bar with 20 degrees air intake temp we are pretty sure she would make 700 bhp !!!!! Looks like the last round of Time Attack at Snetterton is a go :-)

I wonder if the ecoboost v6 would fit, gearbox to suit the torque might be a problem though!

Excellent work! Glad to here that your health has slightly improved and is being well managed.
Shame you missed Time Attack at Croft I was hoping you would be there as this car is always good to see on track. The "other" Noble had a bit of an off as well. I didn't see what happened as we were sitting on the other side of the track and then they never announced what had happened so I hope the driver was alright.

Thanks Guys , kidneys are holding steady at 12% !!!! As long as they stay there we will be fine :-) I so wanted to go to Croft but the car was just not ready :-( Kevin had a fairly major accident at Croft , locked up a rear wheel on the down shift which spat him into the Armco , he then slid down the Armco and hit a tyre wall head on :-( 60 mph impact . Thankfully he is fine , just a few sore bits . Amazingly the car stood up very well but it's being completely stripped and rebuilt ready for next year .
James Pinkerton built my Race engine and he works for Radicle , he builds the 3.5 ecotec for there race cars and Guy Martins van !! Unfortunately the engine is just too big and after close examination it was agreed the Duratec is a better more compact engine ,, James is confident that on a colder evening running the max 1.6 bar we would see over 700 bhp !!!!!!!!
I'm at Bedford on the 19th sept to get some practise then hopefully we will be at Snetterton , everybody is welcome , please come over and say hello if you are there .
Simon

So we are both ready for Bedford tomorrow , first time I will be driving the Noble in anger since April , Race Dampers all fitted although I have left the front aero off , interested too see if the new Pirelli tyre give any more front end grip . Noise will be an issue at Bedford so I'm guessing I will be feathering the throttle a bit but looking forward too having a go . Quite a height difference between the road and race dampers !! If everything goes ok tomorrow Time Attack should be a go :-)

It almost matches the shop front. I bet it made the other cars feel a bit uncomfortable...
