Hey folks, Spent my weekend continuing to move house, which should explain why these threads have been a bit late/lax recently. Hope to be back in normal order soon! Car related we've been doing LOADS of RR Gathering stuff, Retro Kings stuff and finding some more photos for the Summer Holiday page (get your ferries booked at discount prices now! )... In real world car stuff I've been looking at my new garage floor trying to work out how much effort I want to go to in order to make it flat enough to have it nicely tiled What did you get up to?

Sounds like you had a busy weekend HoTWire! I had quite a busy weekend, Saturday was spent cleaning the fiesta after a week at the body shop. Then Sunday I went to a small breakfast meet local to me, great way to start a Sunday. Then in the afternoon I fitted my new interior light/clock and did some boring general stuff. Overall a good weekend, just hope the fiesta goes through its MOT this weekend coming! Regards, Matt

After picking up an '88 E34 a couple of weeks ago, I spent the weekend cleaning the body up a bit, just to see how much repair work and paint I need to do on it....No photos sorry, my camera is u/s and I have never got to grips with downloading pics from my phone....

I cleaned my 5 for the first time in a long while. I felt bad for neglecting it for so long that I hand polished it, applied a sealant and put a nice wax on it. Even dressed all the plastics and sealed the glass. He must've thought it was Christmas, haha.

Saturday went to football. I follow my local non league side, Ipswich Wanderers, these days. We lost 1-0, shocking game, good banter. Gave up watching Ipswich Town years ago, but that's a story for another forum.
Sunday much more car related, out for Sunday lunch in the country and that meant a spin in the E30. Even squeezed the mother in law into the back. Nice lunch, nice drive through East Suffolk, then back home to catch up with my son as he was home from Uni for the weekend. Amazingly his £250 Corsa is still going strong.
This weekend coming is the big one, the E30's going in the body shop. Dropping off Friday then Saturday the welder's booked in. I'm there all day Saturday doing the donkey work and refurbing all the trim whilst it's off the car. Hoping to have it ready for the East Coast Retro meet on the 1st March. Then Sunday I'm off to view a house, leaving suburbia to live in a large village. The house has no garden, boo. It has no garden as it's all tarmac and has a large garage with a workshop above and loads of off road parking / storage. Hooray! I hate gardenening. Everyone's a winner!

I too went to Wales, but the North instead of the South, Anglesey to be precise and returned to the North-East (Teesside). Instead of a weekend, this was a daytrip affair. We were off to collect my latest car, something I bought a year ago. 450 miles round trip for a car I bought on the strength of some photographs that's been sat in a barn from 1993 and that I paid £80 for. Excited doesn't even begin to cover how I feel about this thing. I've promised myself no more cars this year. I must be good.
