I was going to put a diode in between the high level light and the Allegros rear brake lights so only the high level came on with the trailer brake lights.
Turns out I have run out of diodes lol, also I have been wanting to try swapping the Allegro brake light bulbs with led ones for a while, you can hear the fuel pump voltage drop when the brake light bulbs come on so led ones might help there, not that I need fuel when braking so really.
A mate says having the Allegro brake lights come on with the trailer might not be legal?? I have been searching and cant find anything related to the idea, imo as the Allegro is strapped onto the trailer they are the same vehicle?
Way I see it, safer and fun looking too.

Here in the US one often sees towed vehicles, both on trailers/flatbeds and dollies, with working, temporary magnetic stop/turn/turn signal lights attached to the towed vehicle. Below is the first pic I came across of such light setups, though I've seen some which are encased in an all-in-one light bar. I can't see why using the lights of the towed vehicle in the same manner would be illegal.

I've found, over the years, that a lot of stuff is "illegal" if you listen to mates/co-workers/that bloke down the pub/facebook, that isn't necessarily so.

Not touched the car since last year with doing some other projects. I got a freelander flywheel machined down to 4kg and balanced with a new clutch cover. Now going to a 228mm plate over the old 215mm Clutch slave seal failed over the winter, so new one on order.

First run out on the new flywheel and clutch, she now holds nitrous Pedal is noticeably heavier with the stronger clutch plate. No leaks either which is new!

So where from here? Do I ? Pipes going in through to fog light covers of course. Or does it ruin it?

If it's the practical location for it then sure, go for it. Without knowing the limitations of application, I assume there's a technical or space reason for not putting it behind the front grille ahead of the radiator, or behind the front valance with the foglight holes equipped with air vents.
Aesthetically, the silver-grey looks at odds with clean look of the the rest of the front end so perhaps painting it black or even painting an appropriate design on it might help with that. As long as it's the car rather than the intercooler you see first it should be fine.

Well I've just read this from the start and am blown away - what an epic build! I agree with vulgalour about the intercooler, I think it will blend in nicely under the bumper painted black and not really draw the eye, especially if all the clamps and hoses are given the same treatment. James

Cheers Yes I'm aware of Stuart's BRM, my engine is going to be much the same, block, pistons, liners, head etc all the same items. The K series has been pushed to over 600hp and the built one should be capable of 500hp, not that an Allegro would ever need such madness!

James Cheers Thats some reading you've had to do ! I've seen someone with thier number plate painted onto the cooler, looked good but I think i'd slap one on the bonnet Yeah having a black cooler and pipes could be better, the one pictured wouldn't be the final product as I'd want slightly bigger

Man this thing's going to be mental! Not that it isn't already Could you go for a sightly longer intercooler and flip it around so the pipes go directly back through the foglight holes? Or was that the plan alreadY?
