I do have a life outside of cars as I'm sure other people do. I just thought a light hearted chat about the summer was harmless enough, and I'm sure cars would make their way into this thread within a couple of posts. Only joking, come on fellas, Bigsteves a bit annoyed `cos he was having a nice evening and that thread wasnt hurtin anyone and getting it locked has probably made him think "well f*ck off then", Hotwire`s just doing what he has to to stop things going too far off topic `cos it could lead to loads of daft threads in the future. No-one`s done anything wrong, lets not let this get ugly, not trying to police a forum that I`m not in charge of or anything just trying to de-fuse the situation.

Whilst I have not agreed on the content of certain actual 'vehicles' HotWire has 'shown' in the past I TOTALLY agree with him that "Keep it ONLY vehicle related" is the way it should be! Many a vehicle Site/Forum has been tragically ruined by people talking about Houses, Weather, "Abduction by Aliens" and so on. Then when a member DOES decide to ask about a vehicle issue or mechanical problem he/she gets no replies!  P.S. Scimtars - Very Nice cars always have been always will be. |

Look you've been on here less than a month,.. you've contributed positively in that time, but it doesn't escape the fact I've been running this forum for the last three and a half years. It has always been only about cars,.. off topic threads have generally been deleted or locked. You don't get to come on here and then after a month firstly decide you want to change the rules and then secondly disrespect me with name calling.
I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again, dems the rules, if you don't like it there are other places on the internet you can go. ... of course we'd much rather you stayed,.. but if your continuing attitude is to post up things like "hmmmm I dare say you were a loner as a child......" then I'm not sure I'd be sorry if you decided to exit.

Chill guys, were all friends on here. no need for any bad feeling. Stuff said on a forum can be come over wrong and cause offence and things spiral out of control. don't think anyone ever causes any offence deliberately on this forum. |
