I'm starting this thread because I've just been leafing through a copy of the German "Motoraver" magazine, I was really chuffed to see it for sale whilst in Austria for Woerthersee! It's a brilliant retro magazine, full of obscure pictures and great subject material. Obviously, it's all in German, but that's OK because the pics make up for it and I need to improve my skills at it anyway... It's HIGHLY recommended, if you're out there keep an eye out for it! (hand: model's own ;D ) So what else is out there? I know there are lots of Japanese mags, which are good? Any pics? What's going on in Australia? New Zealand? America?

I was in WHsmiths the other day and was astounded to see an american Hot rod magazine. Can't remeber the name of it but its dedicated to proper old skool trad rods!
Borders is a great place to get Yank mags!

I'd LOVE a copy of Motoraver.. their website is a huge source of inspiration... Other than the Japanese ones,.. the only retro focused one I have is Bilsport Retro Car from Sweden,.. it looks too awesome for words.. I wish I could speak the language

Any chance of getting a few web links up for some of the mags? Might be handy for subscription and back issues?

Theres a million mags out there for trad rods, trad customs and the whole lifestyle scene that goes with. Some monthly, some bimonthly, some quarterly and a few annuals. I can;t even remember them all there are so many. Many are just cashing in though, find the ones write with real enthusiasm... www.americanautomags.com stocks most of them. Then theres Rolls & Pleats and a couple of other similar mags out of France. Hot Rod Gazette (subscription only, published erratically out of the Cheshire area...) And Smokin Shutdown which is German version of Ol Skool Rodz (usually in English and Deutch) Is "Chrome Und Flamme" still in print? Then theres a host of truck, muscle car, custom and other mags like Hot Rod, Chevy High Performance, Chevelle Magazine, whatever from the US. And of course Lowrider, Lowrider Euro, Lowrider Bike and Lowrider Girls. None of these are truely what I'd call a "retro" mag if you know what I mean.
