I done a DVLA check on the Rover, it's been there since 1986! And the toyota tercel has been there since 1998, almost 10 years ago and there is'nt any cars on top of it.

I love going to the scrapyard. Unfortunately my local one doesnt usually have much older stuff but on a visit the other day there were 2 capris - one with an intact parcel shelf (a 1.6 and a 2.0 though) an MGB and a minty late cooper. Theres a coupla 70s jags and few old mercs. There were a few beetles and minors but think they musta crushed them. Theres a 3.9 vogue with its engine still, a pretty complete MK1 MR2, and a coupla twincam sierras. If only I had a garage I'd have loads of stuff from there just in case i ever needed it.

My local scrapyard was huge. Me and my mate were planning a trip there because he needed some parts for his Rover, but i heard they found a dead body in one of the boots and the place got shut down

there used to be a brilliant one about a mile up the road from me called 'burkes'. nothing undercover , everything was dirt cheap and Mr Burke himself was actualy very polite and helpfull. gutted when they closed that one. the one in the pics with the Toyota and the Citroen is still one of the old type yards - pile 'em in , stack 'em high type of thing. and you take the parts off. The building's so ramshackle that i'm convinced once it stops being a scrappy (which will probably happen one day..) and they remove the cars , the whole thing will just keel over. you know those cars you see that are held together by the rust ? that scrappy is held together by the cars..

Cant beat a good scrappy. Shame the enviroment police make it hard for them to keep going nowadays.
