hi, i'm charles from the netherlands, one of my cars is a 82 maserati biturbo, wich is one of the earliest, registered in april 82. the introduction of the car was in march of that year. my car is imported from itali in 2004(?) then sold to a cardealer that couldn't get it to run properly and subsequently aquired by me. so, i got a non running car wich i swapped for my bike wich i didn't use anymore...... took me less than a hour to get it running properly, gastank was empty, gascap wouldn't open....... well, the car, nice hard, very little rust, non original interior (>86) ,non original engine, fuel injected 2l 18v, handcrafted rearspoiler and diffuser, twin exhaust, m3-ish skirts, lowered and 15" canonica 3piece wheels

now, again a few years on, again some rust, and a different color, this time something more outstanding, loosely based on the gulf theme i could get a good deal on a full leather interior from a 2224v, so i swapped the somewhat tired interior with the new one on the technical side even more changes; suspentionwise, ugrade to bmw m3 shocks, replaced the 2x36mm throttle with a single 80mm one (wich is 200% in suface) installed a 600x300x60 intercooler, had to upgrade the clutch , but then realized that the original gearbox couldn't handle the extra torque, so i converted from zf to getrag and a long diff with cooler. to handle the cooling in hot weather, i installed a extra radiator in the back things to do are : install rear anti-rollbar, convert to megasquirt

I hadn't realised the car had so much history behind it! You must know it like the back of your hand now, proper skills there.
The bodykit looks surprisingly good, it's not too in-your-face and I hadn't even noticed it before you said it was there.
How hard was it to install the upgraded throttle body? The stock TB is a bit ill-designed because it breaks where it joins the Y piece, improving that while making MOAR POWARRR cannot be a bad thing.
Can't wait to see the MS updates!

i used a alfa v6 throttlebody and had it welded to the stock intakeplenum, modified the linkage, made the tps work. then u have to fit the ic to the throttlebody

Looking nice, darker blue would be more for me, but I do like your colour choice. Also all the work that you have put in over the time, a labour of love.

btw i'm a total nutjob in that way that i try to do everything and anything by my self, like the alu welding on the ic and piping, the silicone couplings.....made by me, paintjob...yup. this unfortunally also means that a lot of things are not superquality but functional. also i'm not rich, and it all has to be done on a budget (or else the wife&kids start to moan)

DWDarkWheels > I'm not sure why, but this smiley depicts my feelings quite precisely: squadragrunn > Hmmm not a straightforward job for that TB! Alu welding I can't do, although I do plan on learning soon enough (it must be very useful for all those fiddly jobs).

I adore the interior of these cars, looks just such a comfortable, and lovely placed to be. In many ways I think your BiTurbo is how they should have come from the factory.

Is it me or is the engine a very wide angle? It looks like any wider and it'd be a flat 6!
