Roof chopped saxo! i like that, is there a forum that the jma guys post info on or such? (and perhaps prices) Think id prefer single engine + turbo rather then NA twin engine, no doubt the twin is the fastest but i couldn't fit it in any any of my hatch's (starlet's micra's and such) et1eck.tripod.com/gsxr_fiat_500/Click here to see VideoR1 powered fiat, interesting chain setup. lower it, fit road tires, ;D ;D

Its not that cheap once you add up all the bits. Was cheap a few years ago when they weren't popular.

hmm.. how much would a 1.1 liter car engine with 150bhp (NA) and a sequential gearbox cost? and would it break more often than a bike engine?

Yeh but a 1100cc 150bhp bike engine is expensive compared to say a Vauxhall XE which will make the same power, loads more torque, do loads more mpg, is much easier to fit, and will make the car infinetley more driveable.

Although every time I see a bike engine car on youtube or whatever the noise, oh the noise... Its certainly not the universal sollution for a daily commuter but a track car or weekend weapon it would be a laugh.

Matt I bought a complete bike which has an 1100cc 150hp engine for £1500. Only had 14,000 miles on it too. I could probably sell the fairing, clocks, lights etc for £500, frame for a bit more as well? Agree that it's probably not the most driveable in a car though

Aye - plus you need things like new starters, working out gearbox operation, clutches, reverse systems and so on - can add to the cost a fair bit. I don't think bike engines respond enthusiastically to high milage in heavy vehicles either but I stand to be corrected on that front, as it's just an assumption of mine
