Triumph Acclaim 1.3 HLS 5sp Manual in Gold. 53,000 miles - appear genuine. 70bhp, twin carbs. MOT until July 2015 Is currently taxed and on the road, in use at weekends. Faults; Rust starting around arches, front valance etc. Some poor painting done in an attempt to cover up. No ignition barrel - snapped a key in there, a locksmith removed it to get me going. Currently wired to a switch and push button start - never bothers me. Engine is good, goes well, no issues with gearbox, clutch, drivetrain etc. Body in good shape and appears structurally good underneath. I'd quite happily rely on this car as a daily, but work says I have to use the company car! I'm looking for £550, but will listen to offers.

Maybe, but do you see hoardes of people tripping over each other to buy it? Did you have that when you were selling?
It is one of those cars that people like from a distance, but wouldn't choose to buy one (Except us, but we're odd).
I think I'll just keep it, but then it will probably end up modified at some point, which is not what it deserves.

To be fair this time of year is never good for selling cars, what with xmas etc. Come the spring time when the sun is shining and people want a bitching ride like this for going to shows and cruising it'll probably sell a lot easier. I saw this car at rrg and I think you'd be mad to let it go for this much.
I sold mine within a few a days for the full asking price but I got lucky

I want this car so badly, but I've just bought 2 Volvo T5's, and only sold one car from the fleet, so I'll have to wait until I move another on before buying anything else

I'd happily snap that up in a heartbeat, but unfortunately do not have space for it 'til mid January.

I know a lady who may be interested in this. Not sure when I'll get a chance to show her the photos though. I'll get back in touch if she's interested

Bumped back up. Exhaust made usable and new battery fitted. Could do with an exhaust rear section, but I'm sure whoever bought it would be changing that anyway.
