Started on this project what seems forever ago but is only July 2013. For some reason I couldn't get the idea of building a lowered Land Rover with a big engine out of my head... Started with this beaten to death ex-military 109 with a solid(ish) chassis... Decided that the only polite thing to do was to put a Jaguar V12 in it and make it RWD, and 14" lower.. I have billions of photos so here's a few choice moments. 140MPH clocks of course After much effort and work finally all came into place last weekend, with the completion of the exhaust. A short list of some of the modifications:Mid chassis cross members removed and replaced. Nearly the whole firewall and bulk head remade. Bespoke radiator, trans-cooler. Bespoke leaf springs, front and rear. Steering column moved over 45mm. HE V12 5.3l running 175 Strombergs. TH400 Autobox with BM shifter. Removal of front diff and casing. Bespoke dash. Suicide doors, of course... Any of course here's a firing up video from last weekend!

Have you just slapped in the jag slushbox for ease? My heart skipped a beat when you mentioned a jag V12... and it went straight into my mouth when I saw it was a pre-HE engine
The next polite thing to do, would be to fit some low CR pistons, and a turbo or 4..... the pre-HE head is just screaming for it

That looks fantastic! Perfect ride height in my opinion. Just needs a tad more tyre.
Love it. More pictures always needed!

Superb. The best modified Land Rover on here bar none! Anyone can slam one and put a V8 in, but you've shown that's way too simple!!

love it! how did you lower it, decambered leaves and axle on top ? Original springs had seen better days, Owen Springs made some new one to LR spec but with no camber. Basically straight eye to eye, and shortened. The front will sit 2" lower but as I've not driven it yet I want to make sure it won't hit the bump stops.
