Was chatting to Vanpeebles the other night about front end conversions for Pops and off the shelf bits available today. I spotted this front end and took some pics as it's such a cool little unit. It was featured in Custom car a couple of months ago but has found its way onto the NSRA giveaway car: a scratchbuilt fibreglass bodied Pop van currently down at Burnham Autos.
This is as supplied, ready to weld in. Goes on in place of the standard front crossmember either on the original frame rails or in this case on a custom chassis. Uses tubular A arms, what looks like Cortina uprights, discs and a narrowed rack. Rolls in at £750 ready to fit:
Out back it's either an Anglia 105E axle or early Capri, couldn't quite tell but it's spot on for the width. Don't know anything else about the car as they are just building a chassis for it before it goes off somewhere else.
