I know it's a bit of a shameless plug, but I believe my gnarly 4-tone Mercedes 200T on (Moon discs and all) is going to be on the show tonight. If you have nothing better to do then tune into channel 5 @ 8pm to see a bit of ratty retro on the big screen. Hopefully this will signal more old skool rides on Fifth Gear. If I have anything to do with it they'll be tons more retro metal in future..... Ooooh, me loves this forum  |

D'ya know, I didn't actually find 5th gear unpleasant to watch today! Wasn't bad at all! Times be a changing on several scenes, in that case Not complaining! Good work! |

D'ya know, I didn't actually find 5th gear unpleasant to watch today! First one I've watched of this series and I'd agree! Not at all offensive! Merc looks like a great daily Jonny.  |

to be honest, i can't stand fifth gear, the merc looked alright but everything about fifth gear does my head in.

the merc was merc-in it! nice to see an oldschool flavour motor on there, it defo needs a slap with the lowering stick though apart from that i like the mismached panels & moon disks, its a nice ride, would look cracking nect to the red vauxhall victor brummy drag car!!!! quality lineup, once my triumph is mot'd & sat on the floor a trip to invade the filming should be done :OP

Glad it was appreciate guys. Yes, she does ride offensively high but ye olde Benz is my daily and therefore must go over every terrain in the world, tow stuff at the drop of a spanner and never ever ever break down. I bloody love that girl, although it now looks ever better with my lady behind the wheel...
I will talk to the FG producers - perhaps we could have a RR forum gathering down there.

that would be good, the 5th gear veiwers would think they had tv troubles with all the matt/satin black rides that turn up hehe could be called the "rusty run" for those that would come, i must get my triumph bk on the road & MOT'D aarrrrhhhh! i must say vicky butler henderson has the most mental laugh for a chick! seems nice though your benz i have named the benneton benz hehe :OP some vw polos came from the factory like your merc lowered or as is your representing the oldschool car drivers/fans & thats no bad thing!!! i'm sure all agree |

Well I watched 5th gear and was pleasantly surprised. Now they've got rid of that twonk off soccer am. The merc feature was hilarious!! Me and my bro were killing our selves laughing.
Think the stunt team bikes were un-needed and added little to the show (apart from adding to my desire for a trials bike).
All in all it did show an improvement over last series but still needs work.
