Way back in the mists of time Retro Rides was a small community, a fair number of us managed to meet up each year at different events, the community knew who owned what and where they lived. Fast forward ten years (as it really been that long) our little community has grown, the range of shows we go to has grown, the diversity of people has grown and the diversity of cars too. I find myself now days seeing people that have a hundred posts and I realise I know nothing about them, what they drive, where they live, what shows they go to. So I figured it was time to rectify that, and to make a nice introduction for new people to the community. So here we are, a thread for introductions, it will be stickied and added to over time, in years to come we will look at this top post and thing wow, 2014 is it really that long ago... To keep things easy I reckon we can use this as a template : Name : (Only needs be your first name, or you can live by your forum handle... just a warning though from experience of having people come up to me at shows and say "Are you (stumbling pause) ... Hotwire?" your forum name can be awkward ). Location : (Not too detailed just general area) Retro/Interesting Cars Owned : Shows Regularly Attended : Instagram, Twitter, Facebook pages : (For those who have a social presence they wish to promote, that is Facebook pages, not your personal Facebook account ) What are you hoping to do here: (Are you here looking to buy a car, or find people to go to shows with, or just say hello and show off your car, or something else?) Anything else we should know?: (Do you run a garage? A show? Draw cars? Or anything else car/retro related) Unless some smart curse word gets in first see my post below this one for example. If you click the little gear thing in the top right you can get a link to your intro post and put it in your signature if you are feeling fruity. Hurrah! LETS GO!
