saw a light blue mk2 escort with stp stuff on it and arizona plates. thnik its a guy off here. was in stechford. nice to see someone using such a cool car and not just leaving it as a sunday thing.
which also brings me onto a a bit of a question how many people on here use their retro's everyday or are they just for the nice weather. i don't as it isn't mot'd and thats my excuse

Every day = NO WAI!
But that is because I work 50 miles from home, and the attempting to drive into central london every day will lead to sectioning under the mental health act pretty quickly.

Erm, I rely on mine for daily driving which is why I am using a combination of borrowing the wife's "modern" (1992) car and the bus!
However when its finally sorted and back on the road I will be Mr Daily retro again. This has been the longest break I've had in transport in 20 years driving.

Mine was used daily until I sold it over a month ago. Most of my cars over the years have been daily drivers. Needs must!
Now with the luxury of being close to work (I cycle or walk) I can think about a longer term project that doesn't have to be on the road....I just hope Mrs Wagoneer realises what that might mean......

definately daily for the strada.. although journeys normally consist of to the station and back.. it's also used as my everyday transport to go anywhere else.. mostly because I can't stand driving SWMBO's hyundai.. the clubby was an everyday car till I got the strada.. now it's back in the garage and is relegated to do it up/project status.. although part of that is the swonky steering rack which should be sorted the bank holiday week coming up..

My Manta is my daily. At the moment I'm walking to work as the hubs are at the machine shop. Seems a common having a retro as a daily driver, but getting to work through another means at the moment .

I try to use the 3-door Sierra as much as possible, but do use the Mondeo for longer work trips because it doesn't matter where I park it, and it's better for motorway duties.
This week the Mondy's sole use has been to box the Sierra into it's parking space overnight - excellent theft deterrent!

Mine's a daily. I've had a few other cars at the same time but they're all fairly retro regardless and so, going from one to the other, definately prefer my '73 110 Skyline as a daily over my '90 31 though.

having just sold my newest most reiable comfyest modernest car (91 sapph) i'm stuck with these 2. Daily 1: 90-summat vintage MTB 89' Toyotat - making shifting stuff challenging. and filling dread when emergencies occur! replacing the bike with a sensible new un unfort. and the MR2 with a scabby old van potentially! ;D

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Depends what you class as retro. 1994 is a bit too young, but the rust is consistent with retro motoring. When the oxfords done it will get used quite alot in the summer months but not full time.

The merc was my daily for over a year until Nikki(Swmbo) moved in with me, now as we work in the same place it makes sence to take one car, 24mpg old merc or twelfty hundred mpg K11 Micra. No contest, half the fuel bill is a good thing plus the merc gets a rest for high days and holidays. However I use the merc for anything I need to do in the evenings and on occations when one or other of us works late so it gets used every couple of days at least. My first 123, a 200D saloon was used everyday to commute (very slowly!) from Bognor to uni in Brighton, untill it died.

I use my Merc W115 every day. It's my only car... I don't even have a pushbike to fall back on! ;D

our carlton wagon is our only car at the moment, so its pressed into service as commuter , school bus, parts hauler and timber truck. thats why it was panic stations when the engine died ;D all is well now tho and its doing sterling service again, allbeit a bit swifter than before. ;D ;D

Just reminded me, need to SORN the 323 and tax the Capri, which is about to become a daily. Yeah I tend to chicken out of using it during the winter.

my cars are built to be used. plus the newest one i own is 95 (soon to change methinx ) so at this stage i can barely not drive a retro. although it is a favorit, which hasnt hit the retro status yet
