Now i knew there was a reason for paying attention in language class!
What of the white Audi did he use because in one pic you can still see the front end attatched to it in the background?

Now I knew there was a reason for paying attention in language class! What of the white Audi did he use because in one pic you can still see the front end attatched to it in the background? The Real ones used an Audi 80 2dr saloon front end and doors mated to a Coupe rear lower section and a Kevlar Roof section to disguise the join and difference in heights. oh and 300mm removed from the wheel base ;D The Saloon has a steeper Rake to the screen which gave less glare to the drivers and made it more comfortable, the coupe`s raked screen was too claustraphobic and they were quite close to it with a lot of weird reflections.... Theres 2 guys on S2Forum doing the same thing, may even be the same car come to think of it but I`m sure their donor 2dr was green Short sports are superb though ;D on the list..... I wish

The petrolhead in me loves the fact that another of these amazing machines is coming into the world, the preservationist in me is rather sad for the straight looking white 2 dr 80 that had its face and scalp ripped off, consoled only by the fact that 1/3 of it has gone into creating something very special.

RESTEKPz for building that, looks bloody horrible like.
I'm sure I remember reading about some feller in the states who built himself a roadgoing 'sport' one, used a 4.2 Audi V8 and manual box. TOP KWAL.

Me and a guy from work went to look at an S2 Avant in Nottingham somewhere, backside of Sherwood I think. As the guy is showing us around and explaining why he can't turn the engine over (it was a s/recovered), he pops his garage to show..... two roadgoing UR-quattros! Apparently one was his and got nicked. When the police found it, it was parked in a lockup in London next to another one, which had had all this guy's car's numbers applied to it. So effectively they'd found the same car twice. Whilst they were different colours and hence easy to tell which one was genuine, he ended up getting them both - don't know if the police just handed it over or whether he bought it from salvage as it was totally untracable. Either way he was a bit stuck with it, two cars with the same VIN number aren't the most sellable cars ever....
