Yep did it today at the A47 Autojumble and classic car show just outside Leicester, my Minx looked more like it should have been a parts car in the autojumble, the guy next to me in his mint 2 door XJ6 looked miffed to say the least  |

yep i had it a few years ago when i had a pink lincoln limo, went to a local american car show to tout for business and instead of being directed to the car park as expected i was directed to the main arena and parked up between some expensive shiny cars and also took park in the concours competition, all in a £5000 barbie pink limo with matching fluffy pink inertia.

Erm, we snuck my mates golf in to Trax 2004 or 5, had a show pass for my 205 but it wasnt playng ball so we went in his mk2 golf.
Drove around the show ground until we found the only VAG group stand (Seat owners club) parked it on the end of the row and ran off lol.

ive had a show organiser come up to me in sainsburys car park and near enough beg me to display my DAF at there show the next day id only go in for a can of coke.
Loads of times ive been directed onto the show field rather than public car park when finding a show I didn't know was on or how to apply to exhibit

I have in my e30.went to the BMW show at Santa pod and just got gided into the show.i was next to a mint e30 touring.mine was painted with a roller and hadnt been washed in a wile.note the cleaness of my front wheels lol my e30 |

Car shows are part of my past now,, couldnt stand anymore big egos and backbiting,, did show judging for five years,, some of the things i heard from some clubs and exibitors was truly laughable.. Prefer tinkering and driving em now,, shame ive been gointo shows for 25 years no more now, just small local gatherings

my dad took his old chopped up motorbike to one, got directed to the show stand instead and ended up with a best in show trophy. was a local smallish event though

Few years ago when I owned my camaro I went to a show, and the programme - used car roadshow was there filming I wasnt a entrant to the show, think it was Sandon Hall but as I parked up in the Joe public area, some guy with a clipboard said 'would I mind if I drove into the show and into the filming area', I was waved on by the marshalls. I felt a right fraud, so off I went and amongst the concourse Mustangs, and Chargers etc.. sat my £1000 camaro it got worse as mine was called into use and Penny Mallory got filmed sitting in the drivers seat wile the other presenter cant remember his name, waned and waxed about great budget Yanks One guy with a absolute mint Mustang went a tad postal as his was not filmed, I tried to defuse the situation by saying they where highlighting the curse word cars..  He was not a bunny of happiness took a few months but I did see my Camaro on the TV for about 30 seconds wish I could find the episode My old Girl  |

yep a couple of times now, 1st was in a chevy caprice classic that I had just torn the vynal roof off, still had the rust holes lol, then in the Chrysler, covered in dust and bird curse word.
but I got in for free so stuff it lol
has anyone ever had a car on show to find some idiot sitting in it grrrrr

fred was that camero blue when you got it as its my old one I did many many years ago in a one of colour. was a 4.2 I think from memory and was painted in a reddish colour before I got it. wicked car and my first and las American car. fond memorys of it. ill dig an old photo out of it when I get time.

Me & my girlfriend were picking a Land Rover doortop from north of blackpool, so on the way back drove through the seafront in Odie, my Imp.
As we got to the far end we found a small car show was going on, we found it by going up a street to turn round. At the end of the road there was a marshall waving exhibitors into the show, ad nearly waved us in
what gave us away was my confused look, and the fact Odie was FILTHY!

Went to the Retro Show last year as I happened to be in the area working and thought it would be a chuckle. I parked in the retro car park for about 20 minutes before being invited around to the Old Skool Ford stand. My daily Capri next to some mint Ford tin.
I did not prop my bonnet up in case you're wondering.

none of my cars have ever been minty mint, my current two, the Escort has quite a few rust patches and lots of interior missing and the Cortina has paint peeling off of every panel

It was Bronze Metallic as pic when I had it, but yes, it did had bits of blue under the window seals and when I replaced the rear end, lots of blue appeared!! Yup it was a 4.2 straight 6, which many a Camaro owner told me at the shows, it was made for the Housewife to go shopping in  I obtained it from a guy in Leicester who was showing it at Beaumanor hall, He I think got it from a Guy down London way, who did a lot of upgrades, guess he was the one who done the Bronze paint job, I WAS looking for a Ventora but saw that, and went all Barney Rubble two weeks later found my self in my first left hooker driving up the M69 on the wrong side of the car in rush hour  , I think that was the scariest drive home I have ever had  Guessing it was about 6 years ago now, miss her like curse word mind, Loved that cammy Guy all the way from Madrid with a lowloader to pick her up when it sold, so hopefully she is still rumbling about in sunny Spain. So glad to see a previous owner here  And would be made up if you could find a pic of when you owned her |

I'll be honest, I'm not a great one for cleaning anyway and if it's a weekender and it's muddy and crappy on the Saturday, that's how they go in the show Sunday However, my Mini racecar was displayed literally fresh from the farm it had been stored on for thirty odd years. A mate had a stand at a local showand offered to collect it for me if he could put it on the stand for the weekend before he dropped it at the workshop  so amongst the restored classics there was my engine less rolling shell complete with farm rubbish, dirt and mouse nests! All we did was swap the wheels for ones that held air so we could roll it, as the originals had virtually rotted off the rims |

A couple of years ago I went to Shelesly Walsh to watch the hill climbing for the day in my '84 Rx7, as well as the hill climb they had sort of show area for classic cars and concourse judges. As I was heading for the normal car park a marshal waved me over to suggest I went for the show area, I gestured to say I'll just park in the normal car park. He started walking closer to presumably try to reassure me that I could park in the show area. But once he'd caught a quick glance of the drivers door, which was all in primer and rust, he waved me on through to the normal parking. haha.  |
