Need to buy solid brake pipe for the Cortina. Never bought it before.
Should I buy copper? Copper/nickle/kunifer? Are most of the fittings universal?
Sorry for the n00b questions.

Kunifer is the new stuff, lovely to work with.
Bends by hand really smoothly, flares nice too for the fittings.
Buy all the fittings you need and pipe from the same place, usually M10x1 for the fittings, and you will need a flaring kit, about £25 off evilBay, can't fault them, everyone moans about them but they're great.
Can flog you the bits depending on what you need, I've a vast stock at the moment.

Copper/nickel is the stuff to use, supple but still strong. Re the unions take an old union down to the motor factors with you when you get the pipe and they will get the right ones for you as you may need imperial fittings. If the old unions are in reasonable order they can be reused.
