Ford is introducing a luxury upper level to their D segment vehicles Mondeo, S max and Galaxy, those names will be removed and replaced with Vignale..... What the heck-a-doodle was wrong with the 'Ghia' tag...?! I believe they no longer own the Ghia brand, therefore cannot use it anymore.

Indeed, Dumped Capri and had a Probe In the ethos of the principle of this thread, the Ford Probe was a Mazda MX-6 in a fat suit, badge engineered as part of Ford's ownership of the Japanese marque. But it did have pop-up headlights, which arguably is the coolest thing ever. (I liked my Probe )

The best thing about the Probe was that it used one of the greatest TV ad songs ever "You can go your own way " by the brilliant Chris Rea.

Unsure if you're aware, but Ford Australia revived the Capri name on a FWD convertible based on the Mazda 323/Familia to compete with the MX-5/Miata. It was only sold in the Australian and American markets, with most of them made LHD and destined for the US.

The first Sierra appeared in 1979......a Dutton Sierra The kitcar was already in production when Ford claimed the name for their new world-car. Tim Dutton Wooley took Ford to court and won the right to continue to use the name. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dutton_Cars

I knew he designed the Princess, TR7 and some the the newer MG things, but never knew about he was involved in the 'Bugeye' facelift. Instant respect! The 'bugeye' was the 2000-02 version, not the facelift Blob-eye, then
