Afternoon folks, Picked this awesome piece of kit up from a friend and fellow RR member jr19. Short term plans are: Give it a full service and change the pads Do some remedial rust repair Few minor tweeks, without changing the look Long term plans Respray New Hood Possibly a williams engine or bottom end Prab

Very nice. Methane 2.0 bottom end on your top end is a common mix.
Where did all the early 19's disappear to?

As mentioned already before, I really love this. Nice and original, with a small touches I would have made myself (blinkers etc..).

That looks superb, doesn't really want for anything as it stands visually at least.

Ahh, I miss my 19... worst and best choice for first car over here. Absolutely no parts and got shafted by Renault when I had issues with it, but god, it was stubborn! Had a fault with the transmission that was going to cost $2800 to fix or $3600 to replace. I paid $1500 or something for it when I got it, haha. I told the mechanic I would just run it in to the ground while I saved up for a new car, he told me I'd get 3 months if I was lucky. She lasted another 18! I didn't do any maintenance on her after I heard she was terminal, just kept some fuel inside, and she still went through 2 Australian summers. In the end, even though the transmission was borked, it was the radiator that gave out first, heroically getting me home before exploding coolant all over the driveway and sealing her fate. Then I had to PAY a wrecker to come get her because no one wanted a 19 for spares (I was always chasing parts ). Will always have a soft spot for them, though.
