ok I will be towing my Esprit by an A-Frame to the gathering will it be ok to drive in with it in tow? it will be on a club stand but I don't want to get to the gate and be turned away! 1, you can not reverse with the A-Frame 2, you can not turn around unless you have a wide open space or roundabout. 3, If I unhitch it and drive it in were can I put my transit? looked on google maps and all the roads around look narrow! don't want to cause a traffic jam! Thanks Rob

Wouldn't have thought it would be a problem. Race cars on trailers use the venue all the time. We've got a 24' Iveco van with an Escort Cosworth on a trailer to fit in!!

Does anyone know if the 'retro parking' will be hard standing? Thanks No, it's all on grass. The access roads from the main road are all tarmac, though.

The main paddock is hard standing - there are surrounding fields, including one on the way down to the main entrance and one behind it which is connected to the paddock. I just wanted to check whether the retro parking will be in the paddock or in one of the fields.

It's in the field next to the club stands, furthest away from the actual hill.

good day, thanks for sorting it but i cant help feel it could of been better. viewing of the track was poor compared to prescot where you can just drop pretty much anywhere and view the cars running and the club stands at the same time, the time delay during the lunch break and then the waiting for cars to return was annoying, along with the fact that the PA system was not on so you could only hear commentary from the start line. If half them bushes wernt there it would of been a lot better but I'm guessing it was due to keeping the noise down for locals. A serious lack of traders or were they somewhere else? Is this going to be the venue for next year also? Good turn out though, seems to be growing year upon year still.

Fantastic day, thanks to all concerned for the hard work they've put in, absolutely the best car related event I've been to, let it grow, would love it to be a 2 dayer. Harewood next year please, half an hour in the Lada rather than 31/2 would be good!

Had a great time once again, so thanks to all the RR crew and the staff at Shelsley. I will say that the state of the camping field/orchard was a bloody shambles on Sunday evening. We did what we could but hardly put a dent in the scattered debris and abandoned chairs etc not to mention the burnt grass and general detritus, with a 4 hour drive ahead of us and one starting a new workplace we had to get going.... We are guests of the venue so a bit of respect for the surroundings would have been nice, especially if we want to go back. Rant over for now. Highlight for me was a passenger run in Mick Wilkes HA van. What a nice bloke and what a great little vehicle Looking forward to the next one, hopefully the Monza will be finished in time. Oh, a PA system that covers the show field and the camping area wouldn't go amiss.
(and a minibus up the hill, my leg-parts are killing me)

Why can people not clean up after themselves anymore?

This was my first RR gathering and I really enjoyed it. I spent most of my time wandering around the club stands rather than watching the hill climb. I thought a little more marshalling could have helped with the club stands, but maybe we were just unlucky with a problem we had. A couple of volvos left our stand to do the hill climb and all of a sudden a bright orange lada had been abandoned in the middle of our stand, leaving nowhere for the volvos to park when they returned as we had exactly enough room for our cars on the stand.
I didn't camp but the litter situation sounds pretty bad, it's not exactly difficult to clean up and take your rubbish away. There's no excuse for it, and stuff like that happening is going to cause us to loose the venue and be told we are not welcome back.

Feedback: RRG is always incredible and this year was no different, a few things that could be improved in my opinion. Campsite was either much much much smaller than Prescott or there were many more people camping. We turned up Saturday 5:30pm and it was hard to find a spot to camp. In the end we abandoned our cars by the loos and had to pitch on rough ground behind other tents/cars. This also caused more concentration on the routes in/out of the campsite and thus mud. If this is a return destination then I think another field would be a good idea. Food queues and selling out of even bottled water. The hill climb was fantastic. Even though I didn't get a 3rd run I would have still paid the money. Things seemed to run smoothly in the pits even though it was a tiny area, I feel sorry for the crew as it seemed a logistical nightmare but they did a great job. Thanks and see you next year
