Went down to York yesterday for a RWYB.
This was my absolute first RWYB and I didn't quite know what to expect. With it being the start of this years 2nz (tuners ) series I was expecting to see loads of chavved Corsa's and generally a lot of fibreglass. However I was very pleasantly surprised. There was mostly very nicely styled performance cars. Unfortuneately I have very limited photo's because I was to busy racing but here they are:
Capri Running a V8 Lovely Satin Stylz!!!
Awesome Rat/Hoodride/rusty Beetle. Was turbo'd and fast!!
This Nova was stunning!! It had been Meticulously prepared!! It was just beautiful! Was running an XE on Carbs and the engine bay was spotless.
This MK2 was easily my favourite car of the day. It wasn't running was just parked up, but was stunning was a beautiful colour and as you can see has a killer stance! Sitting on 13" Minilite splits.
As for the racing itself, well I had an awesome time. Did 11 runs in all Ranging from a 16.3 to my best which was a 15.1.
Traction was a slight problem coming off the line but I managed to get my 60ft time down from over 3 sec's to 2.644. Hoping with a bit of work on my launch and lower tyre pressure I should be getting into the high 14's at the Retro Cars Show.
Last picture is of me at the end of the day against a clio 172 (I beat it!!)
Will try and get more pictures from my brothers phone.
