Yes, I know. I'm asking another Megasquirt question, but I know you lot are into all this stuff more than I am (I'm trying tho!)
Anyways, I'm still building a Megasquirt ECU to do the management on the Vitesse, but that won't get fitted until I've made new inlet and exhaust manifolds, fuel tank/pump etc etc.
What I'm wondering though, is whether or not I can use the Megasquirt ECU to just run the Edis based electronic ignition WITHOUT going the whole hog just yet ?!?!?
That way I can enjoy better sparks and more performance for only minor work and then add the EFI at a later date.
Obviously I will have to fit a trigger wheel to the front pulley and a TPS to the carbs. I already have an EDIS 6 unit waiting and I'd love to get rid of the dizzy, cos I know the timing is running out due to the lumpy cam
