So we borrowed an arch roller and in the sun set about our cars. I have only rolled my front arches as my rears are predominantly made of filler and I kinda don't want to find out how deep that is yet. I only took pictures of my friend working his arches, but I'm sure you can imagine its much the same from car to car. The idea is to set the head at different angles to fold the lip carefully then slowly push it flush with each pass getting progressively tighter each time trying not to loose the flat edge on the arch. My wheels don't rub as it is as my car has about 3" clearance between the wheels and arch, but its not everyday you come across one of these tools.

I found an arch roller is an ideal way to find out where you have filler in your arches also squared off rear arches are a pain to roll, had to get creative with the hammer.. Car looks good on the revos, hopefully now you've got room for some lows post arch rolling

does that really work??? that looks great ! It does indeed! I've seen way too many people do it with hammers and baseball bats so I asked about to get hold of a proper tool. My arch lip has now folded flush around the inside giving me at least an extra 2cm tyre arch clearance should I go really low

I'm another that likes Sprint Wheels, but then I like mini/superlites, etc, (call me old) but those Revos look pretty damn good from where I'm sitting.
Which, incidentally, is in a bar around 7,000 miles away!

I may invest in one myself - only the brave attempt those kind of mods , I salute you ! They are very handy, we used the heat gun to "soften" the paint in the hope it won't crack when folding.

Saying goodbye to my last VW this weekend. Making me cry a little inside! If only someone had an older golf or a beetle that wanted a Toledo like mine haha! Lets hope my ol' jetta gets put to good use.

Very nice ! I need to drop mine too , I have adjustable shocks on the front - I was thinking of chopping the rear springs - good idea or bad ?

Saw this today at local easter meet, I cannot describe exactly how perfect in everyway it was! Sprint on twin 48's fully rebuild, the underside was spotless. 13x5.5 minilights, love that the oilcooler was kept inside to keep the front end looking clean. Can't see in the photo but the bonnet is louvred too. There were loads of other really nice cars there and lots of interesting ones too.

Love that (bar the mirrors)! I keep toying with 14s for mine I think 15s look too big. That looks spot on and I don't normally like mini lites. Same size as my sprint wheels too. Need to buy a new rad first so no wheel funds for me at the moment.

I'm not fussed on the mirrors. As the standard ones are useless being on the wings you just can't see anything out of them, he said he had a few things left to do on it which I suspect was putting some of the trim back on and carbon mirrors. Yeah I think anything bigger than 13's is too big. This really was spot on in my eyes. Just as I started to chat to him a 'purist' came over to preach about the colour as it's chilli red not a triumph red. But non the less looks fantastic for it, quite like an Alfa and that's a good thing! Really wish I got a picture of the engine bay whilst he had it open but I was too busy chin wagging to think about camera, lovely car as were so many others there today.
