Cheeky picture of mine on its 'new' wheels   I was just having a think and am trying to think of engines that haven't found their way into an MGB  I mean you've got: B series, C series (MGC), O series, M series, T series, Rover V8, Buick V8, LS1, Jaguar V12, Zetec, MX5 1.6/1.8, Duratec, 13B, 12A, 2JZ, GM V6, some form of Ford V8 iirc, SR20, CA18 and Cosworth V6 and those are just the ones I can think off the top of my head Pretty versatile for a little car |

Bmw v8 would be cool, especially the e39 m5 lump. Or Honda B18c/K20/F20/H22, Would need s2000 diff, axle and associates though.

I wonder if a Jaguar AJ6/16 or indeed any other small straight 6 engine could be persuaded to fit... hmmm

Damnnnn some good stuff there! I do like those SCCA (i think) roofless racers If I can get mine to look half as good as that green and silver number 40 GT I'd be a very happy man Do like the look of that low black convertible too |

Ooo good question, I'm not sure to be honest. But thanks for reminding me of that V12 one, I've not caught up on that build for some time now.. I'm thinking of the one that had a video of it driving/drifting around a kart track so I'm assuming its the same one |

Just found the build thread for it again, seems he ditched the V12 in favour of a V8 of some sort :/ www.mgexp.com/phorum/read.php?41,1540381 (Couple of vids on page 37) Seems he's now chopped the roof off and is turning it into one of those proper low speedster style racers |

I love the look of your car as it is bgt  Maybe just some different springs on the front to bring it a little lower? Springs are usually pretty cheap for MGB's |

Yeah I was gonna say, I think the choices as 1" 440lb springs or 1.5" 550lb springs up front, they are about £70 I think. 1" blocks on the rear are about £30. That's £100 to get it nice and low. Get it done, that thing is far too lovely to leave at standard height.

Thanks guys. Problem is, it's a rubber bumper model originally, with the raised suspension. So it already has lowering springs at the front and blocks at the rear. The lower A-arms are angled upwards as it is, so to avoid more bump steer and curse word suspension geometry my plan is to fit drop spindles. That'll give me another inch. But it's pushing £350 so I have to justify it in my head first. I could change the front crossmember to a chrome bumper one but that will be fairly labour intensive, and supposedly the steering rack has to be modified. At the back I can relocate the rear spring hangers which should also give me an inch. Less pricy but not the easiest job in the world.
If I had any sense I'd sell the damn thing before I go and throw all my money at it. But it's so pretty.
