I can offer an advert taken from CAR magazine August 1973... the funny thing about this (apart from the cheroot the nice lady's smoking... what? You didn't notice the cheroot? Where were you looking, then?) is that the tagline is completely inaccurate. My mother would like it, in fact she owns one herself Couple of quick pics taken after I spent two days doing a full detailing session on the old boy; and of course, this is what MGBs are all about... country lane, blue sky, green trees, singing along on and off the overdrive. Perfick

These two made me stop and pay attention. There's a couple knocking about on the forum too, I'm going to wait for their respective owners to post them up on here.

I don't know what it is but I like other peoples photos of my cars more than my own. Too critical or something, I don't know.. Sometimes other people see things in your own car that you don't notice. Rich, what suspension mods are you running at that height? Mine needs some subtle lows, especially as it's a rubber bumper, and I can only find 1 1/2" kits.

The Buick porthole vents are a clue to what's inside... Have a look through here, plenty to whet your whistle there.

Mgb hive 500lbs race springs and poly bushes up front. Going to fit race damper valving in the shocks, rear is all stock with spring assisters as it's gone very soft and low, and an escort adjustable panhard rod. The best way to Lower a rubber bumper is retro fit a chrome bumper cross member due to the RB having different spring datum points to increase ride height to us federal regs, and then fit lowering springs.

I was lead to believe it was more complicated that just swapping the cross member over, due to the steering rack mounting points? How is the ride on the 500lb springs?

It's hard but it's not too offensive. If you do anything, the first thing to do is remove the rear anti roll bar an fit a panhard rod. Mine is like its on rails and is really predicable. The steering rack mounted on the subframe IIRC, so aught not to be an issue?
