Hey guys, this isn't the most technical question but my brother recently bought a Mk5 Fiesta and theres this bracketry in the boot, along with some sort of wire with a plug on the end of it nearby ![](http://i.imgur.com/yuCF0ukl.jpg) Would I be right in guessing that its a bracket for an OEM subwoofer? the sticker on it has a ford badge on so it's all I can think of it being ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) I'm guessing a scrapyard would be the best place to get a replacement if there is supposed to be a sub there? Thanks

more likely it was for a cd changer, what does the 'plug' look like ?

Ah yes! why hadn't I thought of that possibility ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) although it has got a single disc player head unit.. I'll get a pic of the plug when my brother brings the car back

Seems more likely that there was a CD changer in there then, I think I got the sub idea from seeing a factory fitted sub in the back of a punto recently ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) I'm guessing that someone has retro fitted a factory CD head unit in place of a tape deck and changer, so the changer became useless.. Though I've just heard there are some more pressing issues with the car as the battery just exploded ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png)

If you need a radio code when you replace the battery send me a pm.. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

cd head unit and changer? hmm seems strange to me but fair enough ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) I think there was a radio code in the handbook with the car, or at least I hope the RAC man has a way of avoiding needing it when he changes the battery, I know we have a little thing that goes in the cigarette lighter when we change them at Halfords but cheers anyway ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)
