don't think i like the plumbed forward exhaust, paticuarly as there seen to be fake headers going into the bonnet sides. hang a stinger exhaust out the back.
Otherwise FTW!!!

I really like the grille shell. ;D
It's got a little featurette in Marchs' issue of Custard Cart.

Love it for the guys' sheer willingness to not just push the envelope, but to wrap the letter in old newspaper. these guys sure got that right, I like and admire sheer engineering ingenuity, Also love the old wallpaper in the engine bay.
Good find.

I was really impressed by the scratchbuilt one when I stumbled across it at the Supernats. It looks like some seriously cool work has gone into that other one too This is an image from the Rod and Custom online archive images of one of the designs for the Volksrods built back in the 60's. I was fortunate to see the one built by/for the magazine by Tom Medley when I visited Billy Belmont's shop in Bsoton a few years ago. Got no photos of it though and I can't find any on line

Hey, I know that car! My 240K recently shared workshop space with it when I had the Powerflow exhaust done, it belongs to Mark who runs Power & Performance up here. When I first saw it parked up at an ECA auction I didn’t twig what it was.

Its a kit car or replica really then, seems like a lot of effort to go to but fair do's job done. like the propper volksrods specially that lowered and chopped to hell effort, that in that pink!
|
|
it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

yeah I don't really consider these volks rods,.. more a VW based kit car that looks like a rod...
I much prefer the proper volks rods.
Whatever floats your boat though...
