Sorry, don't know much about them over than that Guigaro (Golf, Delta to name but two similarly boxy designs) had a hand in the styling. I really like them. Getting rare now so top buy!

Cheers guys.My dad had the malaga in the early `90`s and that wasent to bad. Bought it as a cheap daily driver as ive also got a manta b series hatch thats just about to go in for a respray. The seat will probably end up with a bit of tuning tho!

I bought a 1.2 System Porsche XL in `99 with 42k on it. Do yourself a favour and do the cambelt sooner rather than later, I didnt and took a £400 bath as a result.
Other than that my Ibiza put up with unbelievable amounts of neglect/incompetent maintenace and I had nearly 20,000 miles out of it before selling through an auction. According to Experian it lived another 2 years after this.
I`m delighted to see one on this forum, and looking forward to seeing some pics. I never modded mine apart from colour coding the bumpers and converting to a manual choke (out of necessity) but any questions about day to day running etc. I might be able to help you (probably by using my actions as a bad example)

I had a 1.2 Porsche Fuel injected one as my first car. Wish I hadn't scrapped it.
The 1.5's have 90hp. Think they're fiat PCD 4x98

Theres a couple on flea bay now. A 1.2 and a 1.7 diesel. Every ones been positive about the ibiza so far so cant wait to pick it up. heard that the 1.5 system porsche ones have 101bhp so shouldent be to bad in such a small car. Yeah their 98 pcd so gonna nick the wheels off the wifes bravo and get her a new set!

Not sure how you would lower the back. Single transverse leaf spring, so it would either be a case of decambering (which may cause issues with the fuel tank) or I am not sure if it would be possible to fit some form of lowering block to them. Front springs are just a coil so no problems there

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts
