it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Has been noted that you don't get many girlies on car forums...
Perhaps we need to go on a recruiting mission (that could be horribly misconstrued - I am happily married!) to introduce more females to the Retro Experience!
Perhaps start a girl-orientanted fashion magazine that includes tips like replacing the lipstick in your handbag with a tin of matt black paint!

There were some, 'Jenn' was a regular as well as 'old bird' and a few others don't recall hearing from em for a while, as well as one that did annoy people occasionally and get stick. It is traditionally a lad kinda subject it just is not saying it should be, but there has been some girls on here purely under their own steam.

I've managed to get my wife behind the wheel of a "retro" Mini (in that it isn't a new BIGI) which is enough of a success for me! Not sure she would ever find the need to get on a forum to have a chat though.

Yeah, when my mrs had a breif encounter with a Mini she got well into it but couldn't handle the unreliability. I did manage to get some pics of her working on it, though! Result!

I called Jen the other day by mistake, wanting to talk to another Jen... I'll probably ring her later to ask what she's got planned for the show season... then remind her to pop her head in

lol @ trg! Touch wood, our Mini has been very well behaved - although it sure don't like wet days! This is a pic of my good lady and the closest she really gets to working on a car - here cleaning it on the day we picked it up. She hasn't cleaned it since! Good job I hose out the arches every now and then... To be fair though, she's not against getting her hands dirty and we both lost skin trying to make the exhaust manifold-to-downpipe clamp seal!

Thing is with 'W.a.G's' I can understand them not coming on. 1. being bored with topic generated from here in the home. 2. not being as obsessively fanatical and having better things to do! Just noticed fewer females about the place recently so thought i'd do a newbie style tread to see if theres any passing, or we have upset anyone.

They seem to place going "Oof" much lower down the list of priorities than us blokes for some reason How true! Rachel finds it utterly baffling that the mere sound of a V8 engine makes me dissolve into a puddle on the floor. Do women not get it?!

There were some, 'Jenn' was a regular as well as 'old bird' Old Bird here, had a name change mind you. lol Still have a peak at the forum every now and then. This is our latest project and once the weather improves and my little starts nursery after easter I shall be "restoring" it. It's a 1968 Safari caravan. Looks good behind the Humber. The interior needs bringing up to date, as does the plumbing and it will need a repaint/respray.

My daughter (who is a dab hand at spannering engines) surfs in, looks bored then b*gg*rs off to wrestling forums and My Space.........(BTW, she's a black belt in a Korean Martial Art and attended a wrestling academy a couple of weeks ago who claim she's a natrual.....I tend not to argue now..... ;D)
