The interior needs bringing up to date I'm guessing there's going to be some patchwork-ing going on there.... ;D Mrs JS has no interest in any forums whatsoever. Probably because she's seen what's happened to me since joining RR and doesn't want to spend her weekends covered in grease and rust etc....

Wow! Funky Humber/Caravan combo!
Was thinking we need some Retro caravans. Get them nice and low, matt black with some slot mags and a flame job! Perhaps a louvered rear window and anti-static strips to finish it off!

My ladyfriend used to hate my car obsession. I think she's just accepted it now, although she's still not a fan of my heaterless, welded-diffed Sierra for some reason. She openly said that she really likes my Kadett though! And made really cool comments about it looking much cleaner and smooth without the bumpstrips/bumpers, and reckoned 13x7 Revos look "dope" on it. She's getting there . I'll soon have her rolling around in a slammed Golf.

My missus is def NOT a computer person ,but has suffered for the last 30 odd yrs ,travelling in all sorts of vehicles Ive owned . All she ever wanted was a clean comfy car with heater tho'! She will come out to the garage when I need a hand (oo er!).Like the time I lifted a Rover V8 engine and box ,got it stuck resting on my knees in a crouching position ..shouted as loud as I could ,she comes shuffling into the garage ,slippers still on.Trouble was I'd forgotten she was heavily pregnant ,and she couldnt do a lot to help!

I don't think girls would be interested here, its rather techy and boys own on this board *lashings and lashings of wizzer j-cars what what* ;D I don't think it is that techy, unless I really am under the spell, a lot of our chat is about style IMO, if I can keep up it cant be that techy (just to blow that, I am a technician BTW! ;D ) Not compared to V8 sites etc and PPC, not been on there though. I dunno, I was just trying to un earth the home grown female car fans that can keep up with the 24/7 madness that is RR. hoping were not excluding anyone.

FWIW...... Fairy Bird, my lady friend, loves cars, especially older stuff, has no problem with getting real DIRTY !! and is pretty usefull around the house too. One of our best "dates" to date was a long day spent at Beaulieu. PS: She cannot be arsed with surfing the sites, but will look at whatever I get excited about. And is fully into me surfing here at my place or hers when I visit . She also very dutifully hands over the satelite Remote, and calls me when Overhaulin, PMR etc is on. Would be nice to have some girls here as well, this is a "clean" site, which may be rare these days.

SWMBO has been to one Land Rover show and one stage rally in the 12 years we've been together!
But the important thing is she never stops me from going on stupid roadtrips and out rallying/car shows/whatever......she just views it all with an air of detachment and bemusement.....no interest in cars whatsoever, but I still love her to bits. :-)

mrs coggers loves going out in the firenza with me and she came along to the last north east meet we had but she's just not into sitting at a computer 'talking' about cars.. she'll quite happily step over the alloy wheel sitting on the kitchen floor and doesn't give me any grief about the car seats in the sitting room ( is it just me with car parts in every room of the house??) and she's really positive about both the old cars i've got ;D can't complain !!

Er, no. It isn't just you wiht car parts in every room of the house. Difference is that I AM getting grief for it! I think the bench seat hiding behind a curtain in the dining room is the final straw...

My wife is on our VW forum, but thats less techy more "whats for lunch?" "what you listening to right now?" kinda place. She's fine with my car buying antics, infact it was her who wanted to get the Beetle and the camper in the first place and she's happy to help out getting oily when I try and fix things I've handed over the interior or the camper to her for colour choices and curtains As for shows and meets Kim is happy to come to race meets and car shows with me, more so now we have a classic/retro/non modern car to display. She does how ever still not understand the shout of "Oooof" when I see something unusual or old trundle past ;D
