I say... go out in the snow and have some fun. It's only going to last a day or two down south anyway, so make the most of it. I was trying to have some "fun" yesterday in an abandoned car park, but my handbrake is wibblepoo.

"Travel if only absolutely necessary" it says on the news..... they said as the wind is picking up later on today there'll be quite a lot of drifting - excellent! They don't say what those of us without RWD cars can do though Last year, when it snowed, I had the 20v Quattro. So I went out for a play in Asda's carpark as I was passing, saw the lovely lovely unbroken expanse of white stuff and couldn't resist. This year I did the same... in a Mondeo Embarrasingly very nearly got stuck too! Had to turn my inability to climb a very slight incline into a 'meant to do that' reverse-j turn and exit, as quickly as I could safely muster

So, you get all fuzzed up about a couple of inches of snow? This is from last winter, its about double this now though.. You can just barely see my old Granada wearing a fez in the bach here.. My dog is not impressed.

Lovin' the TypeIII! I've had snow too, you only get arty shots though because I didn't want to go outside to take the pics! Don't call me a wimp though - I've done three school-runs this morning, one in a Smart car (fun, RWD!), one in the Missus' Sunny (boring FWD, but safe!) and the other on foot (which made me realise that I have NO suitable footwear, although luckily my 'skater-balance' still works ;D). Sky is still full of it though, so when temps drop tonight it should drop a loads more.

Skate shoes are the best footware in snow you just learn to lift and place your feet flat and its ok..... better than Hiking/CAT/Timberland boots in my experience (Seasons spent shuffling round ski resorts ) Does make me laugh though how unprepared for it the UK is.... Janeys Syncro with winter tyres will quite happliy drive off through 8" of Fresh snow with no Chains ;D Snow/winter tyres are ace

White over here (halfway between Mansfield & Newark) but it's melting faster than it's falling. Starlet's battery was flat when I went to it this morning & someone's nabbed the jump leads

I really want to go and play in the Mini but I've been told in no uncertain terms that it isn't going to happen.
2CV is too shiny and the handbrake works on the wrong end for entertainment!
Surely this is a chance for the Ultimate Tramp Drift as even the FWD cars can get in on the act!

I never knew that, learn something new everday Is there any particular reason why it's on the front wheels or just Citroen quirkiness?

I guess it's a Citroen thing.... my BX's handbrake works on the front wheels as well...
