I have some 14" wheels for my fiat from a lancia dedra. I think they are about 5j and have 175 tyres currently. What is the smallest size I can fit to this wheel? The original wheels on the car are 135/80/13! I need the narrowest tyre I can get on that rim really to give clearance in the arches. Suggestions? Thanks!

You'll struggle to find anything narrower than 155, which won't count as "stretch" at all. You'll be fine putting 135 wide tyres on them if you can manage to find any. Get some lower et wheels or spacers to get more clearance if the wheels are catching on the inside.

Get in touch with the dutch DAF club they have had a batch of 135 80 14 tyres made fairly recently as this is the size the fits B body DAFs. Otherwise you can get 145 80 14 tyres from Morris Minor specialists like Bull Motif, this is what most of us here in the UK that have wheels that narrow.
