Evening all, as many of you know I purchased a 25 v6 turbo a few weeks back, I was debating rehousing the engine in another 25, but i'd rather retain the original shell even though it is a bit tatty! Today I got about actually moving it out of the garage and giving it a quick clean on the interior, I don't have a wet vac so ended up cleaning it by hand with Dettol Mould/Grime remover and some 1001, came up ok! but its very very aged and the bulk of it needs replacing. I vacumed most of the leaves and curse word out of the bay Dirty interior 1001, some great stuff, sadly still filty in the car but a whole lot better During the clean: 80s/90s fox alarm, disconected what was left of it and took it out carpets still dirty after a vacuum/1001, really need a vax no crappy alarm! The car is fairly straight, got a few dings in the rear 1/4s to sort and a bit of rust on the arches, and a little around the windscreen the to do list for the car: I've sourced a donor car with a full interior, so going to get everything I need from that, my interior needs new parcel shelf supports, boot carpet and door cards, but will end up replacing it all. Exterior I may replace the rear bumper and ditch the tow bar. Needs the rot attending to, will just tidy it up and rattle can here and there and give it a good polish, give the car some patina! For the MOT: New dual beam headlamps, its had single beams fitted and only the mains work! no high/flash and no parking lights! Sort the brakes Watch this space folks! Prab

Interior reminds me so much of one of the favourite cars I've ever owned....my old 21 Savannah
Good to see a 25 again. Can't remember the last time I saw one. I think I saw a Safrane a couple of years back iirc.

I think I saw a Safrane a couple of years back iirc. They are getting rare now, i've got another 25, a H reg TXI thats just ticked over 66,000 miles, i'm the third owner from new, and I spent about £700 on just getting that up to near mint condition (rust repair partial respray, undersealing etc) That interior looks soooooo comfortable! Yep, the front seats are air inflatable, and have compressors in them! 7 way adjustment for inflation aswell as the standard electric adjustments! Prab

Love it! a phase 1 25 GTS was my first proper car, always had a soft spot for 'em especially in potent v6 turbo flavour......

Find a black leather interior for it and win at life. Add some flat spoke ATS 15"s for consummate brilliance.

Find a black leather interior for it and win at life. Add some flat spoke ATS 15"s for consummate brilliance. Already sourced a new interior for it, which is black leather but the front seats i'll have to transfer the covers over to my existing seats, as these have the ergo function, 7 way adjustable with air inflation! won't be able to grab the bits off the donor car for a while though, I cleaned this up as I didn't want to work on a car with dank mould! Oui! How can the inside of a car become so grimy? Sat in a barn for 3 or so years, water leaked in through a dodgy boot seal, so damp and mould formed. All cleaned up nicely for the time being but will be replacing the bulk of the interior in a few months time. Prab

Urgh! Looks better already though. Yep when i get a vax will look a hell of allot better, doorcards need replacing and the donor car has leather, i'll change the cards over first see how they look with the cloth seats. Going to have to swap a new parcel shelf in with new shelf supports to. Watch this space will be doing some more work on friday afternoon Prab

Amazing, mate had one back in the late 90s, Silver with a grey leather interior, dropped on some 5 spokes. Went incredibly well for such a big car especially after he'd turned the boost up a touch! Never thought I'd see another turbo one so will be watching this with interest, looks to be very tidy on the whole though, great save

Small update. The car had no radio present in it when I bought it, and I had an old sony unit laying spare, wiring it in wasn't too much hassle, the real hassle was trying to push the loom up and around etc while i pushed it in without damaging it! its a very tight fit behind, managed to get the bulk of the wiring to sit behind slightly above the unit, din pocket will be going in there aswell. Found this in my drawer: Not strictly period correct but its going to good use: Should have a more interesting update soon Prab
