Ay, Ay Ay AyAy. AY
Yep, last year you may remember me hoisting this thing 'from the canal' and a moderate amount of cash to get it home! which is never the best time of year as it was approx Jan-Feb-March!

well you know what it is!
Many thanks to Top Man Twigsy for his help, and other retroers that have helped out with this.
As every antique collector on here, I was feeling the need for a new project or 'solution to the problem', i also fancied a sunroofed Koop, and wanted to takes the skirts of my '89 mk1b, Ooo er! well roll it all together, and i spotted this over christmas .
The guy wanted to get 'his money back' for this 'solid car', I went for an half ar$ed look around and decided its gonna be big money before its done, and no where local to put it and work on it.
so didnt insult the man.
It needs an head gasket job doing, along with general tidy up new wipers, leccy windows, and treatment of any small or big rust areas found.
along with the usual other stuff that will be knackered: brakes, tyres etc.
A month of chewwing over the ideas of buying an '85 roadworthy or not, and chewwing over a BX16v that also came up(!), i chucked in a bid the owner could refuse!
Another attempt, i thought fugg it, another project wont hurt and met him a bit closer to his price!!
Still goes ok (for a few yards that is). and looks better than mine was pre surgery, i think it has had a few pro fixes if anything...
like on the wheelarches, need minor attention again i think like
my least favourate fix, should look like this:
sparezorz
my biggest worries:
windscreen top needs attention, i think the screen is diy removable, if need be.
and this is the A pilar, owt to worry about there? sould be ok to treat.
And Sierra fans, this wont be queue jumping again as such,
So fix the 16v, install a 20v, or lob £,£££'s at a turn key MK2turbo conversion? Noice but not so realistic.
What you's think?
