Hey all! I heard from Siert that you might be interested in seeing this, so I'm 23y old citroen enthusiast from Finland, dad owns a citroen garage where I work, same place I get to do my projects Thought I'd share you my project which has been ongoing for about a year ( 2 years with breaks included) Car was originally 1989 14TE without anything fancy electronics, 1.4litre TU engine and 4-speed gearbox. I didn't like anything it had originally, so I bought a 16V which was ready for scrap (too much rust to handle) Picture when bought: Couple pictures of parts valver It looks quite solid from there, but... Front end was as bad, didn't take pictures from there. Project started as usual with stripping white one apart After that we took valver inside for a strip As the interior was stripped, I thought maybe I could do some noise dampening Engine was rebuild aswell ALL hydraulic pipes replaced, those we couldn't find new, we made ourselves self made pipe New windscreen aswell Bought Fondmetal 4000 rims in 15x7 size and Nangang NS-2 tires 185/45-15 Which were painted orange. 16V ph2 bumpers found their way in also Front end was lowered with these To make it like this Currently it looks like this with sideskirts on Current ground clearance is about 2cm (well 1cm from exhaust...) Lots of work to be done, doing a repaint for it someday, but not this winter..

Not sure about the skirts, they seem a bit curvy, but overall that is amazing. What are the lowering rings? I take it they're thinner than whatever the standard ring is?

It looks kinda weird without skirts, which originally belong to 16 valves, especially with those bumpers i have on it. I'm not a fan of "normal" bx bumpers Those rings are for raising front strut about 3cm

This looks great! I have a set of fond metal 4000's as well and was going to go for an anthracite centre but might have to reconsider.

Nice BX I had a 16 valve kit on mine too. It was only a 1.9d though

Nice work! Love a BX - My parents had a Triton green GTI in about 93 when I was a youth I remember it having two headphone sockets in the back which was a genius feature This is cool, height looks perfect. Looked waaaay better without the side skirts though It's strange, it kind of looks better without the skirts but needs the 16v rear arch panel to match the bumper because the stock one isn't wide enough. Best solution I can see would be to modify the skirts and get rid of the curves resulting in the bottom edge of the skirt being ruler straight which would be in line with the rest of the pin sharp angularity of the beast! Let's be fair, like a beautiful woman it looks great whether it is wearing a skirt or not!

Thank you for comments! In my opinion it looks better with skirts, so they can stay Dunno how much I'm doing for this as I'm getting a Visa next weekend. Might be it gets some lowering aswell...

That looks awesome. Probably the coolest 16valve i've seen. I've had two 16 valve bx's and after seeing this thread I've started wanting a third. Nice work.

Like this a lot, hope you are repainting it the same colour If / When I'm painting it, it will be new original color or pearl white. No one seems to understand my love for low cars in Finland, especially when I'm different and doing it on an old Citroen I'm glad you like it! If any of you have some ideas for it, please do share. It needs small tints, but i'll see when i get it done. Oh and forgot to mention, painted front repeaters orange (quad lamps aren't on it now as I'm refurbishing them)

Awesome, looking at that last picture I think it does actually look better with the sideskirts on. I think I prefer those headlights too, such a cool car.
