First (road) bike....1980 Suzuki TS50ER....Superb little bike - Always got half an eye out for another....Maybe a 250 this time! Most disappointing....1979 Moto-Guzzi 850 LeMans Mk1....Wanted one for more than two decades (since my Dad had one when I was a kid)....It was a pig....Physically HURT me to ride it! Most unreliable....1990 Morini 350 Kanguro X3....Looked the part, but something fell off everytime I rode it....Gave me a numb bum too! Most recent....2003 Moto-Guzzi V11 LeMans....Beautiful bike....Shame it spent the first three months of it's life back at the RUBBISH dealer (MaxMoto, Bury St.Edmunds) awaiting a successful gearbox repair....Not good on a brand new £8k bike....Shoulda bought a BMW! Best bike....1997 Suzuki GSF1200N Bandit....Excellent all-rounder - Fast enough, comfortable for touring, and reliable. Bike-less at the mo (unless You count my Vespa GT200), but when I get another bike it'll be one of these.... ....Honda CBR1000F "red, white, n blue" circa 1990....Good all-rounder, and slightly Retro too! ;D

This is my most favourest bike evAr : Is that a particular style, or a one off... ?? My dad has a thing for Cafe Racers,.. so if anyone has any good piccies of those stick them up and I'll send em to my Dad Well Thats one for the books! Think I'll post this up on the KTM forum to see what some of the 950SM riders think of it! After riding a 950,I think you'd have to be v brave/stupid to ride it with an engine like that,in that frame! Most custom bikes seem to lend themselves better to a more "lazy" engine, ala Harley Davidson, rather than an LC8 lump! As for the looks,I think its fantastic ;D ;D

I got one of these, its buried in a garage at the mo although it is coming back out this summer as its in far to good condition to use in the bad weather, dodgy J chrome etc. GT550!!! Those featured very prominently in my childhood, my dad owned a string of them, only sold the last a few years ago, always good to see pics of them... although it always bugged me how the triple had four exhaust pipes, I far preferred the asymmetrical exhaust layout of the Kwaka triples, which dad also has!

Not too sure you'd like this one Hotwire. Its a Kawazaki, with a BMW 740 V8! it uses a Volvo 340 radiator and is built by a bike shop in Germany. You can order one for a modest $90,000 'Spose the one thing going for it,is that it has 286hp.But thats still no excuse for being so bloody ugly!

Hmmm, I keep thinking about learning how to ride and this thread is NOT helping! Bike of choice when I was sufficiently qualified and experience would be a Suzuki Bandit (either engine but probably the 600 to start).
Love the butch look of them and every review I read they get a good write up.

The trouble with most of the custard bikes shown is that dynamically, to ride on anything but a straight, smooth road, they'd be curse word.... I'm personally a big fan of streetfighters - customised, but also handle well and are fast - best of both worlds! Or supermotos, not so fast, but the most fun you can have on 2 wheels.... Here's my GSXR based fighter (750 frame, 1100 motor, Kawasaki ZX7R front end and a few other tweaks here and there!) - granted it's not pretty, but then I'm not rich/talented enough to build a show winner, so I just ride it ratty. And it's fast (105mph in 2nd, and I've still got 3 gears to go!) and handles well enough for me And here I am enjoying a supermoto

Forgot to add, I occasionally work at a bike training school in Derby (teaching CBTs), so p/m me if you need any help learning to ride and I'll put you in touch with the guy who runs the place!

Yeah, I've seen them bikes before - apparently Jay Leno's got one. I would love to have a go, on a really long straight road! Awesome!
