That looks like a whole lotta fun!
The Goodwood Festival of Speed weekend has a great Soapbox racing event. Quite a fast course and usually loads of wipeoouts.

I remember back in the mid-70's when skateboards first took off in the UK, we literally hacksawed a pair of roller skates in half and nailed the remnants to two old planks off a pallet we found.....once one of those had snapped (which wasn't long!!!) we nailed one half a rollerskate to another slightly bigger bit of pallet, then robbed the frame/wheels off my gran's tartan pull-along shopping trolley (remember them??), rammed the other end of the pallet thru it and secured it with even more nails....dammit that thing was scary!
Seems technology's moved on a bit now though. :-)

Rules will be there to ensure safety firstly and then a level playing field, to avoid crazy carbon fibre jobbies (I'm looking at you here James/BlownImp ) ,... Should be fun,... sadly our hill isn't as long as theirs though

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Will that be allowed? ;D
