FFS. Bet he's full o' 'bragging rights' too as well.
You have to be driving like a complete goon to understeer so much you hit oncoming traffic, diesel or no.
I hate threads like these.

he was going to fast but there was diesil aswell wich i think contributed slightly cos he had went around that corner hundreds of times faster than what we were going.

I hate threads like these. he was driving like a goon. and sinse the crash me bro (qwerty) has started driving ALOT slower which is better for me cos i cant drive yet and i used to curse word meself everytime i got in the car with him and its slowed the driver down cos he's broke his leg.

I really, really don't understand how folk have accidents like this A spill of diesel should not send to barrelling into the path of oncoming traffic. Unless you are already not in full control of your vehicle (or on a bike!) Summary - with friends like that, you won't need enemies

He understeered off.......Driver error, too fast for the conditions Congratulations, you have just added to the Speed accident rates that Fook it up for all of us That doesnt happen with Diesel on the bend The vehicle dynamics are different...... But saying diesel on the bend is easier than your mate saying "I fooked up and I`m not as good as I think I am"

shlomping wasn't driving so it's perhaps not fair to be hard on him! In fact he's not quite 17 yet so this has hopefully taught him something valuable about driving at a speed that the car can be controlled at! I just hope no-body was badly hurt. I must admit from what we see in the pics there doesn't appear to be much of a reason for the crash other than driver error. As to why this is on a retro rides forum...,agreed it's rather off topic but there are plenty of young and not so young "mad" drivers that visit here that drive retro rides, it might just do them a bit of good to see what can happen!

We've all done stupid stuff on the roads and occasionally-like here-your friend didn't get away with it, the important thing as that you learn from it. Being able to drive isn't a right, it's a privelige....and that privelige can be taken away at any time, either by the powers-that-be or by fate itself if you're really unlucky. The stupid ones, the really stupid ones are the ones who have a host of accidents and don't learn from them...they're the ones who end up hurting themselves (or worse, other people) through their own stupidity. Shlomping, I'm glad you're OK and lived to tell the tale...but I hope the experience has given you a set of values that you will keep in your head when you finally get out there driving. Nobody's immortal, and there's a place for driving like a goon.....and public roads ain't it. Stay safe, dude. Let's turn a negative into a positive (if that's possible) with some retro wreck pics

Lets hope everyone walks away learning a lesson and not trying to blame it on something else. Some times we drive badly and we pay the price. And those quick to jump on the lad I'm assuming none of you have ever crashed or had a near miss... or indeed driven over the speed limit.. I know mr.Weasel and Dom wouldn't dare do such a thing,.. or drift roundabouts or anything that could result in their being an accident if they happened to mis-judge something just a little bit. Now go and look at the lego car factory ,.. its ace!

Glad everyone survived, we can all do silly sh*t out there but hopefully we learn fom it. don't be scared to drive, just take it as a free lesson, even though you didnt do anything wrong.
Looking at the pic if you were sat in that passenger seat I doubt you`ll ever be a knobhead driver.

I was front seat passenger. Lad driving has smashed his leg and was cut out of the wreck. I think sholomping has misrepresented it some what. Yes we were driving slightly to quick for the circumstances, but we weren't barrelling along. We were in a National and were doing approximately 45-50mph. There was diesel on the road as you will be able to read in the police report.
The car understeered and hit a car so obviously my mate was not fully in control, but believe me he has definitely learnd his lesson and is not some sort of chav idiot.
I'm not 100% sure why my brother posted this up here but I think its a little unfair to have a go at him he was a mere passenger.
