Around 150 were made I believe, a chap I know used to own one. Very similar to that one in fact. (Did your mate get it from a bloke in Coventry? If so, it's the same one!)

Wow, they're pretty rare then! I think this one came from someone locally (Dorset), but I'll ask him just in case.

i've seen one,it was a boggo 1.8 too.a guy i was on a course with at vw milton keynes had one as a company car.it turns out that the sales dept couldnt shift it for love nor money.it looked like a regular jetta except for the boot floor being higher inside.

I have a Golf Syncro  ;D Jetta is the same mechanically Limited tuning potential as the Transmission is the weak point, but handle and grip really well Ours lives in the Alps over winter fitted with snow tyres and BFO Cibie super oscars on the front so you can see coming down the hill at night Will be getting a light tweak over summer for a bit more grunt.... 2.0l bottom end and GTI 8v head and cam.... with the Weber thats on it at the moment should make for a really nice alpine tool ;D www.vwsyncro.co.uk is the Forum/site for all things Syncro |
