Yo,
I've just recieved my money back for the rest of my subscription to RR, and now I really don't know what mag I should replace it with, nothing tickles my fancy at all.
So,what I'm wondering is if anyone knows if they will still be selling back issues? I'd like to grab a heap if I can (as I missed a whole lot before I found about the mag). How would I go about this? Anyone still affiliated with the publisher?
Cheers Leon

Rodders' Journal - no other magazine gets near it. Hot Rod's tech stuff is pretty good too.

I recommend 'the economist'! I bought it the other day and it takes longer to read than Car, Practical Classics, PPC, Classic and sports car and Classic cars, all put together.

Rodders' Journal - no other magazine gets near it. Hot Rod's tech stuff is pretty good too. Having just bought my second recent issue now that I can get it cheap in London (I have a some older ones..) I'd agree that nothing touches it but it really is in a class of its own for the subject matter it covers. Not really a like for like replacement for Retro Cars though

I'd go with practical performance car too, finally subscribed to that now after 5yrs of practical classics and its deffo a better read, christ the technical stuff not only makes sense but actaully goes into decent detail!

I enjoy PPC, combines the best non brown-trouser parts of Practical Classics and what used to be CCC before it became Which? TrackDay and disappeared up its own bottom.
For pure car porn though, for me it has to be Octane, for top class photography, Motor Sport for its classic racing and rallying articles....and from the other end of the spectrum I usually buy Old Skool Rodz from a local newsagent when she has it in, and Car Kulture Deluxe from American Auto Mags at shows in the summer. I buy CC sometimes, but their 'it's not a real hot rod, it's got radials' sneery style gets up my nose on occasion.
I buy Land Rover Monthly as well (the best of the LR mags if anyone's interested!)

I buy Land Rover Monthly as well (the best of the LR mags if anyone's interested!) Always preffered Land Rover Owner International myself (don't ask me why) But yes I concur PPC is a darn good read.
