Ok, after selling the 160hp Starlet GT daily cos its fuel consumption was bankrupting me, i'm looking for another daily driver so i can give the sleeka the love and attention it deserves. Any ideas? It has to be very reliable, resonably entertaining, quirky and practical... but most importantly cheap to run. Contenders so far are: Base Model Fiat Panda (light blue, smoothed and slammed on wide black steels ;D) Standard Fiat Panda 100hp Standard Mitsubishi Colt 1.3 Standard Suzuki Swift Anyone driven any of the above/got any comments suggestions? Cheers

No die-sels in Greece :-(
Yeah thats the Panda, they look quite cool and they seem pretty good. Thing is apart from buying the car, i want to spend the least money on it possible and concentrate the fund on the sleeka.

Yeah something to do with micro particulate pollution if the diesel is low quality and the engines are not serviced and tuned properly. + something to do with more fuel economy, less tax for government.

Those old 4WD Suzy Swifts look a bit of a laff. My mate at univrsity had one. Rare but would go anywhere like the 4WD Pandas

I take it we're talking about the new Panda? I've driven a handful of them and found them to be... OK. Like all new Fiats they seem to have an air of lightness (and possibly flimsyness). Like driving a Big Mac carton. Not bad cars but their equivalents just felt a lot weightier and more solid. They seemed pretty nippy though.
I think a smoothed one slammed over black steels would be a laugh!

I'd be quite tempted with that Rover 216 in the for sale ads, *cough* or my sierra!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Sorry i was talking about the new Panda. Just want something that is not gonna occupy any valuable time or money that I could be spending on the Celica.
