	Been slowly ticking along with the red one. Lowered it, fitted G60 brakes (Girling 54 calipers & 280mm discs) and tried the GTi engineering bodykit on again. waiting on some more parts to arrive and I can really crack on with it! If anyone has a rear section of bodykit hidden in their unit or shed or anything, I’d give it a good home! 🥰😂

	Put a deposit down on another Passat estate 😅 3 owners all in the same family. Grandad bought it new and passed to his son who dailied it for 20+ years. He then gave it to his daughter before he passed away. Just over 100k miles on the clock. I can’t wait to collect this and get it on the road! 🤩 Should I keep it standard or lower it on nice wide steelies?

	Got it back to the unit on Sunday and managed to get it running! Swapped some better wheels/tyres on and I even drove it to the mot station Sunday evening too It failed 😞 😂 needs some brake/fuel pipes and a bit of welding!

	So the new old Passat has passed its mot and it’s now home! Potentially the last compulsory mot as its now 40 years since it was first registered! First job was to sort the split carb flange and fit a series 1 mk1 golf GTi steeringwheel I had lying around in the unit. I love these wheels. Makes every old vw I’ve got feel much nicer to drive. Also swapped the dead bootlid struts to nice new ones so the bootlid doesn’t whack me on the back of the head anymore! 🤕😂 I’ve also removed the roof rack. It’s a really nice old Thule one but it was noisy when driving and there was loads of moss build up when it was mounted so I wanted to get rid of that. So that’s stashed away safe in the unit now 🙂 I can’t wait to get this thing really low and sat on some nice wheels! Also found this super cool retro accessory in one of the cubby holes in the boot! Love it 😎💕 n

	Been dailying the new Passat for a while now and it’s a lovely old thing. Very solid feeing and now that I e done some servicing on it, everything works perfectly. Custom coilovers are paid for and have been made. They’re on their way now so next step is to get it nice and low and pop some nice wheels on it. Here’s a couple of pics from my mates place and a local car meet. I’ve put hubcaps on it now too and it looks loads better. It’s currently away getting its cam belt done and a couple other oil leak issues sorted. Can’t wait to get it back! Good little car 🥰

	Also in some rare mk1 news, Bstar wheels have designed a set of alloys that look like the old (Passat versions) G60 steels and they used my mk1 as a photoshop mock up! They’re said to be 16x7.5 et38 4x100 so will look awesome on loads of cars what do you guys think? I want a set 😂

	Lowered it. It was only a matter of time 😂 The ride is a hundred times worse but it looks a million times better! So it’s a good trade. This weekend I’ll fit some helper springs to the front coilovers and swap the rears out for something with a bit more travel. They’re stance+ mk2 golf coilovers on the back there and they’re not the best. Also they’re wound all the way down so it won’t go any lower. I have some AP coilovers in the unit so I’ll swap those on. They’ll match the fronts too. Hoping to wind them down a little bit more all round as well. Borrowed the BBS off the beige’un and polished the lips up a little bit too. Love shiny wheels on an old crusty car 🤓😎😂 Let me know what you think!

	Mucked around a bit this weekend. Swapped the rear coilovers for some better ones. Fixed the rattly exhaust. Changed the flappy headlight. Fitted some Brazilian executive smoked tail lights. Fitted the bodykit and tried on some 16” Bstar Sebrings. Still needs to come down on the rear a little bit
