Been meaning to up load some pictures for a while, I don't have any build photos because I haven't done all that much to it, and probably wont be doing much more either, always was going to be a few subtle mods and a freshen up, so as it stands its a 2.5d geared for carrying a ton of sand so its horribly slow to drive, if I plan on keeping for a few years (which I never do) a new motor would definitely be on the cards. So i've lowered the front approx 7.5" and the back has a set of 3" blocks and one leaf pulled, but its not low enough, so i'm going to pull another leaf, (there are a 5 leaves plus 2 overloads) and then reprofile the springs flatter, with a set of air adjustable shocks. I've chucked some GMC yukon rims on, which weren't to difficult just spacers and specific nuts. re carpeted the inside, retrimmed the dash, doorcards, headliner, center console, everything, in black and white hounds tooth and black smoothed the cargo rails off, replaced and tinted the rear window, and chopped off the "farmer bar" smoothed various bits off the back, and fitted a set of warrior rear lights. And then painted it. Plan is to paint below the swage line a deep purple. lower the back, repaint the bed, and sort out my wrinkly tailgate. new wing mirrors, some clear indicators, don't know whether to try fitting a hilux surf front bumper, seen it done on the older shape, looked mint, don't know if it would suit this, anyway, here it was moving my other ride. I like it anyway, people always asking me if its an import, (which was kinda the idea)

Looks good, but how did you lower the front, am guessing there not torsion bars like a Hilux?

cheers guys, i'm thinking about painting it two tone, but cant really decide whether too or not. its gonna be white and something, split at the swage line. probably leave the top white, and paint the bottom, and cant decide what colour, red? blue, lime green? deep purple?? or do i leave the bottom white and paint the top? just cant decide. and what do you think about the bumper? i fancied leaving it the black plastic finish (coz its a truck innit), or should i paint it to match?

Good to see one of these done tastefully! My work runs 2 2 wheel drive ones and I'd love to be let loose on them! Tempted to turn it into one of those ultra low Japanese Minitrucks?

just thought i'd throw up a couple of updates, however i've booked myself a fortnight off work with the intentions of getting some major work done, I.e the two tone paint, and lowering the back end. however for now - I painted the bed of the truck, to be honest i'm thinking of going bottom half white, top half blue, and so will be repainting the bed again anyway! and just today, i've been working on the BAD wing mirrors, the passenger side was old shape standard, and the drivers side, was well i'm not sure really so i've bought myself a set of Mk3 Vauxhall astra mirrors and been grafting them on, not much work really, some slight trimming to the inside of the base plate, and a few extra holes, i'm really really happy with the finished look, could be standard, which is exactly what I was going for

How much did you cut out of the front springs? Just bought one of these and looking to lower it eventually.
Shame they're not like the old mazda pickups with torsion bars, a lot easier!
