none of the granada/scorpio/bug eye scorpio are fwd, either your mate didnt know his from his elbow or your thinking of the wrong car, belive me I know fords, been abusing them for 25 years, there may be a yank or german car called a scorpio thats fwd but I never heard of one. Its probably a Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable - a US Fwd saloon car launched in late '85 and ran to about '95. Early Ford versions in particular looked very, very similar to Mk3 Grannys. P.S Back on thread Hillman/Chrysler/Talbot Avengers and Sunbeams are excellent Escort equivalents for a fraction of the price. Vauxhall Shuvits and their German cousins are good too. Last model Senators as well?..the police certainly liked them!

so if I was to buy a dolomite sprint it WOULD be rear wheel drive? regardless of age/colour etc? Yes it would. But, if you were buying one, why not look underneath it and see if it has a rear axle? Then you would know for sure instead of relying on what you read on an internet forum.

Just to echo everyone else, all Granadas/Scorpios are RWD or 4WD. We paid £100 for this: It was a minter. Didn't use a drop of oil or water in over 1800 miles of VERY hard driving ;D

That has to be a record! you need a great big car in front moving the air out the way. (we managed to get a standard 125cc vespa up to about 85 behind a transit van) in fact it spat the conrod out hard enough to make a big dent in the nearside inner wing. :S

Sierra! I paid £250 for my 2.0 carb Sierra. It already had a welded diff, was stripped out and cheapy lowered suspension. Then I spent £130 on second hand Konis, and Deflex polybushes. 14,000miles on the clock and it gets driven hard everyday, take it to drift days etc etc, and in my opinion - it looks cool. Here she is: HELL YES!!!!! SIERRA, all the way to the bloody armco! Mk2 twink sierra is cheap, quick enough and rwd. Ticks all the boxes. Plus like the gent said "it looks cool." Anyway some one else said one of these....... How cheap are mk3 supra at the moment. I know most are auto but look hard enough and manuals do turn up for less than a grand.
