There's a Sceptre for sale at the moment that could be a good starting point NO NO NO! got to finish the zimmer as yet. there was a wolsey 16/60 on bluecycle last week for £100. I just haven't the space at the moment Any more info on the wolseley??? My dad has wanted one for years (which I didnt know until recently) I want to buy him one as a present for everything he has done for me over the years. That looks a pretty cool rod. I echo TCC`s statement about the wheels though What was the back axle as it looks pretty narrow compared to the Tina front. When I was twenty I had only just learnt to drive (I was a late starter) and got my dads old Vulva 345 as my first car. I like to think I have made up for it in the 13 years since then

wolsely has gone now. it was on bluecycle, online trade only salvage auctions. very difficult to register, at work we have to use another traders login because they haven't finished vetting us yet! 6 months the wolsely looked like it had hit an artic up the ass, tops off wings, headlights, grille and bonnet. rear arches didn't look too encouraging, but the rest was ok as far as anyone could tell. it was in a holding compound in bristol. it was an A60 shape one prefect back end was a mk3 capri 2.0/1.6 (they're the same) axle. like I said, I moved the perches inboard to clear the chassis. rear track of 52", front was 56" IIRC. escort is 50-52" front, 48" rear. all rear drive fords have narrow rear track compared to the front

His father bought a 52 reg range rover for 12K from there stolen recovered with no damage other than a coupe of scratches that polished out. I did try to register myself at one point but not a hope in hell. I will find a 1966 wolseley 16/60 at some point prefect back end was a mk3 capri 2.0/1.6 (they're the same) axle. like I said, I moved the perches inboard to clear the chassis. rear track of 52", front was 56" IIRC. escort is 50-52" front, 48" rear. all rear drive fords have narrow rear track compared to the front My escort wasnt when I got it as its an axle rear atlas but standard front. It makes a lot of difference to the handling of an escort, the fronts have got to be wider than the rear.

wonder why a narrow rear track works better? I best go and measure the moggy, because that handles brilliantly, but the capri is s**t, well its better if you push until the propshaft throws a wobbly. which it has now done. the prefect under steered, but I didn't have the proper know how about CoG etc. at the time. I just got the engine as far back as I could and felt that was OK, what a fool I was! still, the only part of the engine that over hung the x-member was the front pulley mid engined 4 seater?

other than a welder you'll need an angle grinder, a flat drive and an angle finder. those are all the special tools you'll honestly need! I'll warn you young chaps, it'll take you to a near nervous breakdown! [obi wan mode] work on your retro's and gather your skillzorz, and with patience and apptitude, you won't make the mistakes I did [/obi wan mode]
