Man that is one sweet piece, the other cool one I saw of his was the '37 that he did for Overhaulin. Really restrained style (for him), that guy is a hero.

I guess the P is a reference to the Mustang fighter plane.  I think the WW2 cockpit referencing is great but maybe the nose cone is a bit cheesy? Charlie |

yup - nosecone is out...... just doesn't sit right for me. stance is perfick. Interior is astounding - BUT - how the foooook does that shifter work in the real world? Looks all form n impossible function! Screen is great...... proper old skool stylee...... Overall and driven ( by a lucky sod! ) with plenty of ;D ;D ;D ;D |

I like it all except for the nose cone which I suspect could be a genuine old plane one as it doesn't actually fit the grill area properly. It dominates the front end and draws your eye away from the rest of the car. I think there might be something sneaky going on with the headers/hood sides. The ones on the right of the head-on pic are longer than on the left? I like 'em anyway! |

The cover is off on one side, so they just look longer. The thing with those headers is that the engine only has four exhaust ports on either side, so he has made a log manifold and then six stubs off of that, not ideal.
I didnt like the nosecone at first, thought it looked like stick on tat. But its grown on me and i now really like it, really different and something close to a lakes type car, lots of them have funny nosecones with air intakes.

I agree about the nosecone growing on you. I thought it looked awful when I saw the concept sketches of the car, but by the time I saw the car taking shape in various magzines I was sold on the idea.
I've seen a couple of paint schemes proposed for it and they will look suitably impressive I think.
Best of the big money '32s for my money (or lack of it) is Ritzow's Deuce built by Troy Trepanier at Rad Rides. It looks so simple but when you realise how much custom fab went into making it you realise just how trick it actually is. Its kind of "a hot rodder's hot rod" rather than the usual vulgar "look at me" gimmick cack which a lot of the "big boys" turn out.
