PS. Like Tigran asked Dom, what are you using to budge the sound deadening? I've got a similar job to do and have been putting it off for ages due to the residue left after the main sheet has been peeled. Well having tried it all ways Cold with a chisel first which was recommended but quite painful after a while (Big blisters on palms) Judicious use of Hot airgun and scraper seems to work best ;D That leaves it looking like the Drivers side Petrol on a rag followed by brake cleaner leaves it like the passenger side but be warned it also left me with a headache for 2 days Works well though ;D You watch though...... I`ll end up covering the whole lot in Dynamat again in a minute after driving it HTH Dom

Going to the garage to fire up the B310,.. and give it a little run out. Clear out some of the junk left in it from when I moved it into the new garage a couple of weeks back (step ladders, wheels, tools etc. etc.), then I plan to stare at it for a bit wishing I had my Christmas bonus so I could get some tyres on my wheels... and maybe some 280zx struts for the front... Then I'll close the garage and go home

How we getting on then? I got the screens in the Pop and it's looking truly younger. With the rubbers in the right way it honestly looks like the glass isn't going to fall out Bonus: the rear window has pulled the headlining into shape and it doesn't look like it's falling off the ceiling now.

LOL! I have done FUGG ALL as usual.
Did have a prod round the rapid for a bit, and did some 'project planning' (daydreaming).
Spent a fair bit of time helping my mate sell his mini.... two crazy Texans from Mildenhall bought it and turned up with the most heath-robinson towing contraption evAr.... basically just a caravan that had had the body removed with a sledgehammer. QUALITY.

I fitted a new timing chain/gears kit to my mums Felicia today. The [curse word] pics below are of my wifes Felicia that I did the same job on a few weeks ago. Felicias arent retro[yet] but share the same engine as the rear engined cars! Might explain to some why their Estelles/Rapids are so rattly! OLD NEW

Well I am about half done I think. Lost a bit of time as I got called out to work at 6am this morning. Rover bits stripped and packaged. Got my disco water pump off but found the water pump casing is leaking from the back as well so power steering pump and alternator are off to get that sorted. So couple of hours should have that sorted tomorrow then I can get cracking on the next part of the plan.

Bah, a whole day wasted here. She who must be amused wanted to go out and do 'stuff' today which I agreed to assuming we'd go and do something fun. Reality: did nothing. Read paper. Bored. Day wasted.
Ah well at least duck is on special offer in Sainsburys. I can get fat instead.

This thread has worked at least partially for me - I was too late to get the XR4 motd on Saturday but its booked in for Monday, I`ve been meaning to "get round to " this since september and now I have, so well done Bryn. Saved myself a bit of work as well, took the 323 for its first run since it was smashed seemingly beyond repair a few months ago and decided not to lower it as I am very happy with the handling/ride as it is and wouldnt want anything to alter it. Anyone ever come across a more convicing excuse to not be arsed fitting a few new springs?
