Right what is the best order to do things?? A bunch of height has been chopped out the front springs of the car,.. Going to re-do it with struts and adjustable coil overs over the winter. However I need to sort my wheels out as well (tyres, spacers etc.)
Now each has an impact on the other in a chicken/egg stylee... which shall I do first??

You got the 1st step right....which is posting on R-R and asking for expert advice! ;D I'm not a tuning/mods expert, but I would do suspension first in case whatever wheels/tyres you might have already bought don't clear arches/struts ect. I might be talking bolox, but that's my tuppence worth!

If you are getting new wheels, i'd dump the suspension around them, that is if they are not the same width and rolling diameter.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Suspension first! Theres nothing worse than a whole load of gap between your lovely bodywork and your low-pro tyres¬

in my experience with my 230 id say wheels first. i lowered the car too far to get the wheels id chosen on it. front ones wouldnt fit under the arches. grrrrr.

Both at the same time! Get tyres on the wheels and then when you're doing the suspension mods you can mount the wheels to work out what spacers you need (if any). Once you've got the new struts or whatever fitted, leave the springs out, bolt the wheels on again and work out what is going to work in terms of ride height/clearance. Then you can get springs to put it where you want it.

If you're going for coil-overs, I would say slam it over the existing wheels first. If, when you get your new wheels you need to raise the car a bit to get them under, break out the C-spanner!

I'd say wheels first, with tyres. I would put money on it that whenever you see pictures of cars that shouts STANCE, the wheels have been in place and the car dropped, shaped and spaced around them.

i say do it both together they work as a package imo work out what you want re:wheels, and then using the measurements/offset etc you can plan the slam. choose your coilovers, get em both on together, and then (assuming you did your maths right) dial in the suspension

If your using coilovers I'd say slammage first. Then you can fiddle on o get the wheels to fit later. Well thats the way i'd do it anyway.

definatly buy the wheels first, then plan the lowering round them.

Wheels. It's already DIY lowered, so not like it's going to look silly.
