My wife is literally going to kill me for this, but, can you PM me with a phone number? Also, maybe email me some more pics to bmorley@unity-media.com? This is fully awesome. My Mk2 Escort has got to go... Cheers! I can vouch for how much he wants this! He's been annoying me with texts all night! Chris

£800 that made me smile seeing that.I don't want it but for £800 i would have it.I think you will have to offer the asking price with what work gone into it.

Is this still for sale would you take £800 you see, I didnt reply to your PM cos I read your previous posts, and all 13 of them in the past two years are either offers of half the asking price or pointless comments on for sale threads, I dismissed you as a moron. as such, I wasnt planning on even wasting my time sending you a message to go do one. but, it appears I underestimated the persistence of your moronity in spamming my f/s thread as well with your 'offer'. I actually feel quite insulted you even bothered to try to offer me such a pathetic amount based on the asking price. so consider this your formal notice that your very generous offer of half the asking price is being declined...... for anyone reading this who thinks my reply may seem a bit curt or even agressive, this is what I posted on FB the other week about this- I must first address the balance slightly by saying its not all been like that, I have had a couple(as in two) of serious negotiations with potential buyers (who will know who they are) for this car, but we've not quite been able to thrash out a deal as far as handing over cash, for various reasons, and that is the fault of neither buyer of seller, sometimes people just cant come to an agreement on terms so a deal doesnt happen. but thats two people out of 27 who have contacted me about this car since I advertised it. every other one has been as above, asking questions that are already answered for them if they can read, making insultingly low offers, or asking my 'best price', then coming up with an excuse based on information thats staring them in the face, like it being 'too low' or out of their budget. to be quite honest, I'm now finding the whole thing quite exasperating. I do not need to sell this car, I actually really like it, and now ive sold my other one its actually the only T+T car I own, so anyone who thinks they're 'doing me a favour' offering to take it off my hands with an insultingly low offer, can f-k right off, and I will tell you as such if you try it. I don't mind conversing by PM, email or even text, after all I am advertising by a medium designed around these formats, and I understand people cant always ring due to work commitments, etc. but if you're incapable of stringing together a legible, punctuated message (be that PM, email, or text), I just wont bother replying to you, simple as that. if you send a message demanding I ring you, I wont. if you want to talk about this car, I have now added my phone number and email address quite clearly to the original post, so it should be quite within the capabilities of a prospective buyer to contact me. if you cant manage it, I probably wouldnt want to be talking to you anyway. I think that covers all bases. I'm sorry this post seems so harsh, I for one certainly would never think id actually have to vet buyers for a car I was selling, but I'm just fed up of having my time wasted by idiots. if youre a genuine interested buyer with cash to spend and a mediocum of intelligence, this wont apply to you anyway so feel free to get in touch.

Well Dez sorry to spam your thread but i have to agree with you on all your point's and bring the for sale add back on line.
I would love this car but am in no position to be buying anything, this car could be your's and you will feel good driving down the road, you will get looked at and it will draw crouds of people either admiring or confused.
Give it a chance to find a good new home and give sellers some respect. ;D

so I gather this is a no it was a serious question with cash waiting I have always been told start low and work your way up to the price you are actually willing to pay. I can see why you can get fed up of people who contact you and mess you about, as for being a moron as you say I would love to meet you because I think you may find I am a very nice person who you could hold a civilised conversation with who would not turn round to some body who they do not even know and insult their intelligence. I appologise if my offer was insulting but I was here to have a batar see if a deal could be made and I could gain a second vehicle that is out of the ordinary and eye catching but I gather you are unwilling and resistant on even attempting to discuss the matter, I therefore bid you adue sir xx

Yeah, but there's starting low and there's taking the p*ss. What you've offered is £700 less than the asking price on a car that's being advertised for £1500... can you not see the issue there? I mean, if Dez was trying to sell a car worth £15000 then I would agree that trying to knock £700 would be a fair thing to do, we all want a good deal when we're trying to purchase something, but as in all markets where you're dealing with someone who knows what they're looking at and what something is worth (especially when they've put a lot of time and effort in) then you have to tread a fine line between getting yourself a good deal and simply insulting the seller.
I mean, for instance? If you were so inclined to buy yourself a modern car would you walk onto the forecourt and offer the dealer £5000 for the car he's £10000 for? No, you wouldn't, because you know you'd be laughed out of his dealership and told never to come back, so what's the difference here? Absolutely nothing.

If I hadn't just bought an MX5 you would have £1500 in your hands right now and I would be driving back from essex in a lada.
What a bargain, good luck man.
